The design of Amazing Legends Perseus features a layout of 5 reels, 3 rows, and 20 paylines. The game is set against a sunset sky, with images of Perseus, Athena, and Medusa above the reels. To the right of the game, there’s a jackpot table displaying the values for the Mega, Major, Minor, and Mini jackpots.

To play the game, first set the value of your bet. Select the coin icon to open the Bet values. The minimum bet is $0.20, and the maximum is $50. There are 22 bet options to choose from, so consider your budget and how you want to play.

Once your bet is set, press the spin button to start the game. The reels will rotate, and to win, you need three, four, or five matching symbols to land on any of the 20 paylines. The symbols must land from left to right, starting from reel 1.

The top symbols are the Wild, Pegasus, the sword and shield, the helmet, and the winged sandals. The lower-value symbols are 9, 10, J, Q, K, and A. You can select the menu button and then the information icon to view the game’s paytable, which displays the values of each symbol, the payline patterns, and the gaming rules.

To play, keep spinning the reels until you win enough, get bored, or run out of cash. Those are the basics; now let’s move on to the special features section of the review.

Welcome to the special features part of the review, shoes off please before you come in. Now, here are the hidden features and the bonus round that you can activate during play.

Amazing Legends Feature: Activated when one or more bonus symbols land on the reels. You will begin with three respins, and one of three types of bonus features can be part of the game. Firstly, all bonus symbols that unlocked the bonus will turn into a Prize symbol, which remains locked in place for the rest of the spins. During play, any further Prize symbols (coin), Amazing Boost (white owl), or Collect-All (Medusa) symbols that land reset the respins counter. The bonus game ends when all spaces on the slot are filled or your respins have zeroed. Completion of the grid awards the Mega Jackpot prize.

Athena Bonus Feature: If this feature is the trigger for the bonus, not only will all Amazing Boost symbols lock in place, but their values will increase with each one that lands.

Perseus Bonus Feature: This bonus feature comes with multiplier powers. Each section of the grid has a multiplier on it. These multiplier values are added against the final winnable values shown on the slot at the end of the bonus.

Medusa Bonus Feature: Should the bonus open through the Medusa bonus symbol, the feature given to you is the Collect-All symbol. It comes with the power to collect all cash values, like a side win. The values will still be rounded up at the end, but the Collect-All collects them as a secondary win.

Jackpots: Mega = x5,000 your bet. Major = x100 your bet. Minor = x20 your bet. Mini = x10 your bet.

The Amazing Legends Perseus slot by SpinPlay Games and Games Global isn’t a slot I am instantly drawn to, and I’d say the same for the others in the series. Cautiously, I only set my bet limit to $1 per spin and played only 50 spins.

The first win was $0.10 and came on spin four, followed by two more low-valued wins on spins eight and nine. Soon after, I landed the Athena Bonus, and the result of this bonus round paid out $28.20.

Now, I was only fifteen spins into the game, but I decided to cash out the $17 I had in the balance. Why so soon? Well, two main factors: 1) I could use these winnings to play a better game, and 2) I am aware of the volatility, and with games like this, you take what you can.

Amazing Legends Perseus has a high volatility setting. The RTP of this game is 96.48%, and the maximum payout is 5,000 times the player’s wager. This means that players betting $50 per spin can win a maximum jackpot of $250,000.

I can see why the Amazing Legends slot series has been a success. However, for me, it lacks quite a bit. I was hoping for in-play features during the base game, medium volatility, and a theme that hasn’t been done a thousand times before.
