ExCeL London: A Hub for Industry Connections

The London Casino & Gaming Show (LCG) is set to be a pivotal event for the London land based casinos and the sector overall, offering numerous advantages for industry professionals.

Focused on meeting the specific needs of brick-and-mortar casinos, this boutique exhibition will take place alongside the established EAG 2025 at London’s ExCeL from January 14-16, a week prior to the renowned ICE event.

Intimate Experience for Traditional Casino Operators

Show chairman Martin Burlin emphasised that LCG is designed to create a focused environment exclusively for the land-based sector, intentionally differentiating itself from online gambling. By catering specifically to traditional casino operators, LCG promises a more intimate experience where attendees can engage meaningfully with suppliers without the overwhelming scale often associated with larger shows.

Burlin said: “We are not attempting to run a show for the internet gambling industry, which will make LCG a much more bijou event.”

The website states: “EAG’s new casino arena will deliver a unique exhibition experience to buyers: more casino venue than trade show floor, the ambience will match the style of a casino with lighting, sound and ambience that reflects the quality of the higher stakes adult gaming venues.”

Fantastic Opportunity for Casinos to Showcase Their Products and Services

John Doe, the CEO of Intergame, expressed excitement about launching this new show in London. “This is a fantastic opportunity for casinos to showcase their latest products and services, connect with industry peers, and stay ahead of the curve in an ever-changing industry.”

ExCeL London has unveiled a new dedicated immersive entertainment district set to be the largest in the UK. The new district will include:

  • New purpose-built immersive event space – entitled Immerse LDN – opening August 2024 and part of ADNEC Group’s long-term strategic investment plan
  • An area totalling more than 160,000 sqft once complete and set to become a key entertainment destination for London, housing multiple interactive experiences
  • Formula 1®: The Exhibition and THE FRIENDS™ Experience: The One in London already confirmed with more to be announced, along with new F&B offerings
  • Immerse LDN to open up a range of after hours and corporate hospitality options for event organisers and exhibitors.

London Venue a Convenient Location for Industry Professionals

As a major global gambling hub, LCG is easily accessible for industry professionals. The location allows for significant attendance from North American operators and others looking to engage in a European setting prior to the ice-breaking ICE show in Barcelona.

Rather than competing with ICE, LCG complements it by providing a “pocket-sized taster” that highlights the unique offerings of the land-based sector. This supplementary event ensures a rich experience without the fatigue that can come from larger exhibitions.

Key benefits of attending LCG include:

  1. Targeted Networking Opportunities: The event welcomes operators from traditional casinos, providing a platform to connect directly with suppliers, industry peers, and decision-makers. This concentrated networking environment fosters relationships that can lead to future collaborations and partnerships.
  2. Curated Exhibitor Experience: With a focus on the UK casino market, LCG’s exhibitors will represent businesses that cater primarily to land-based casinos. This results in a more relevant showcase of products and services that align directly with attendees' needs and interests.
  3. Insightful Knowledge Sharing: Alongside the exhibition, the show will feature a robust conference programme where industry experts will share valuable insights on market trends, regulatory developments, and technological innovations. This educational component empowers attendees to stay informed and adapt to industry changes.
  4. Focused Atmosphere: LCG creates a boutique experience that reduces the long distances and overwhelming displays found in larger venues. Attendees will enjoy a streamlined layout that allows for easy navigation and more time to engage with exhibitors.
  5. Broader Industry Integration: The growing overlap between the amusement and gambling sectors is acknowledged, providing a unique opportunity to explore innovations that straddle both industries, particularly at the ‘softer’ low-stakes level.
