One of the UK’s leading casino operators, Grosvenor Casinos, has announced it is investing more than £3 million to transform its Leicester venue into the ultimate gaming destination.
The extensive refurbishment will see a completely new look inside and out, with a large outdoor gaming terrace, and a state-of-the-art sports viewing area
The casino from Grosvenor UK will hire an additional 30 locals to fulfill new jobs as part of the expansion.
The casino on Highcross Street, Leicester, which has remained open throughout its refurbishment, will unveil the new state-of-the-art experience this summer.
Grosvenor Casino Leicester is being completely transformed following a full renovation throughout including a new external appearance, a stylish new sports viewing space and a unique outdoor gaming terrace, which looks over the city centre.
All customer areas, including flooring, décor, lighting, internal signage, and restrooms, will be refurbished and modernised.
It will bring Grosvenor Casino in Leicester up the standards of it's other establishments, including Grosvenor Victoria Casino in London and Grosvenor Casino Glasgow.
With Grosvenor Casino Leicester's expansion, 30 new job opportunities will be created for the local community to apply for.
This is a 25 percent increase in the casino’s current team, and careers will be available across several positions, including food and beverage managers and gaming hosts.

Sports fans can enjoy some of the best sports viewing in the city with feature wall screens where they can watch and bet live - much like a live casino - under one roof.

Most of my career was spent in teaching including at one of the UK’s top private schools. I left London in 2000 and set up home in Wales raising four beautiful children. I enrolled at University where I studied Photography and film and gained a Degree and subsequently a Masters Degree. In 2014 I helped launch a new local newspaper and managed to get front and back page as well as 6 filler pages on a weekly basis. I saw that journalism was changing and was a pioneer of hyperlocal news in Wales. In 2017 I started one of the first 24/7 free independent news sites for Wales. Having taken that to a successful business model I was keen for a new challenge. Joining the company is exciting for me especially as it is a new role in Europe.
