Shaftesbury Casino Dudley Premieres in the West Midlands

In England, residents of the small West Midlands town of Dudley have a new adults-only casino destination following the official opening of the Shaftesbury Casino Dudley.

Previously owned by British casino heavyweight Genting Casinos UK Limited and known as Genting Casino Dudley, the modest venue was acquired by local gambling stalwart Shaftesbury Casino Limited for an undisclosed amount earlier in the year

The new owner immediately updated the unassuming property via the addition of more internal space and the completion of a comprehensive refurbishment.

Impressive Introduction

The general manager for Shaftesbury Casino Dudley, Charles Griffin, said his enterprise opened on May 18 with ‘an electrifying performance by a renowned Freddie Mercury tribute artist’ and went on to treat its inaugural visitors to ‘a night filled with excitement, nostalgia and high spirits’.

“Here at Shaftesbury Casino Dudley, our core aim is to provide unparalleled entertainment across the West Midlands,” Griffin said.

“The successful launch of the Dudley casino allows us to continue bringing the best entertainment to our customers across the region and we’re dedicated to creating a first-rate experience for all our guests.”

Homegrown Hospitality

Established in 2016, Shaftesbury Casino Limited was already responsible for the Shaftesbury Casino West Bromwich facility, which is located some six miles from Dudley in the nearby community of West Bromwich.

The firm is well known across the West Midlands and declared its newest venue features ‘a diverse variety of jackpot slots’ as well as an assortment of live-dealer gaming tables offering poker, roulette, and blackjack fun.

Alongside its gambling amusements, Shaftesbury Casino Limited explained that the Dudley site also hosts a restaurant and a bar and is planning to offer guests a wide range of entertainment, hospitality and gaming events over the course of the next twelve months.

“We’re here to be the go-to location for live entertainment, stellar performances and big-screen sporting events, as well as fantastic food and beverages, all set in a safe and responsible gambling experience,” Griffin said.

Considerable Competition

In its quest to stand out, the Shaftesbury Casino Dudley facility is up against extensive opposition as the West Midlands is already home to 16 large casinos, including the 59,180 sq ft Resorts World Birmingham enterprise from Genting Casinos UK Limited.

The area of six million inhabitants additionally features approximately 500 adult gaming centers, although Shaftesbury Casino Limited asserted its latest property's ‘state-of-the-art facilities and exceptional customer service’ will look to overcome this challenge by providing visitors with ‘an immersive and thrilling gaming experience unlike any other’.
