This Is the Premier League Stadium With the Best Staff

If you go to football matches regularly, you’ll know that the quality of the staff can make a real difference to your overall experience. Friendly and helpful staff are extremely important across all areas, from security to bars and food stands. And we know that there are lots of horror stories out there.

Even at world-famous venues like Wembley, we've seen reviews refer to staff as “gormless.” But maybe Premier League stadiums are a little better than the national stadium. We can be hopeful, right?

It’s a little difficult to figure out which Premier League stadium has the best staff, but we decided we were up to the challenge. Rather than make our way all around England and figure it out for ourselves, we relied on some help from real Tripadvisor reviewers.

The team at Casinos.com scoured all of the stadium reviews, looking for mentions of a couple of keywords like “friendly,” “considerate,” and “eager to help.” Based on how many times the keywords were mentioned, we were able to rank all of the stadiums to find one that has the best staff.

So, without further ado, let us reveal which Premier League stadium has the best staff. With a spectacular rating of 42.67% on our scale was Vitality Stadium, one that will be very familiar to fans of Bournemouth.

Interestingly, Vitality Stadium placed last on our list of most memorable stadiums—so, great staff, but not memorable? We see.

One reviewer said, “Super stadium, friendly staff throughout. Food and beer prices were reasonable. Hope they survive in the premiership”. Well, they’re still in it, so that’s one thing.

Next up, Portman Road Stadium in Ipswich got a rating of 34.33%, with 46 keyword mentions out of just over 140 reviews. With a seating capacity of just over 30,000, it’s a pretty impressive stadium, and it’s fair enough to assume that the staff are probably pretty good. So, what did people have to say?

We were particularly interested in one review, which said, “As always, a family-oriented stadium where all staff are friendly and helpful. Visiting fans were not as friendly and this was dealt with quickly and effectively by stewards and police, causing as little disruption as possible”. That’s great praise for the staff!

Molineux Stadium came in at third place, receiving a rating of 29.84%. 23 reviews mentioned the word “friendly,” while 13 also referred to the staff as being “helpful.”

Premier League Stadium With the Best Staff

Home to Wolves, Molineux Stadium holds more than 31,000 people, and in the future it could hold up to 50,000. So, top-quality staff now could really put the stadium in good stead for the future.

“We came here today to watch football and it was absolutely amazing. The hospitality could not be faulted at all; the staff was friendly and the food was nice! Would certainly come here again”, said one reviewer. We can’t argue with that!

Right at the bottom of the list, Chelsea’s stadium, Stamford Bridge, got just 8.69% on our scale. There were over 4,000 reviews, and only one said staff were “eager to help.” We weren't going to mention how notoriously unfriendly Londoners are, but we can’t help it.

Anyway, we wanted to see what some of the actual reviews said, and we found one that summed it up pretty well. “Chelsea needs to invest in customer service training. Your grounds are famous and I am pretty sure that you would prefer not to erode your fan base due to the antics of some staff”.

Second from the bottom, the Emirates Stadium got 9.67%, with 194 keyword mentions out of more than 2,000 reviews. Do you know where the Emirates Stadium is? That’s right, London

According to one review, “It's a modern stadium; I think that's about all that I can say about it. I reserved tickets for collection and was sent around the houses by moronic staff who didn't seem to have any idea where you collect them”. From football matches, to gigs, the overall feedback on the staff just wasn’t positive at all.

At number three, The City Ground (home of Nottingham Forest) got 11.28% on the scale. There weren’t a huge amount of reviews for this one, but we counted 15 keyword mentions out of about 130 reviews.

Not one person used the words “obliging” or “accommodating,” and only four called the staff “helpful.” When I took a deep dive into the reviews, though, there wasn’t actually a whole lot of bad feedback on the staff, so perhaps they’re just average, rather than terrible.

Methodology

Casinos.com utilized Tripadvisor reviews to do an in-depth analysis of phrases associated with being memorable to determine the Premier League stadium that is the most memorable. We calculated the percentage of view-related mentions in the total Tripadvisor reviews.

Keywords tracked: friendly, helpful, obliging, hospitable, accommodating, thoughtful, considerate, eager to help;
