Craps Review

I’m quite a fan of online casino games, and I always love trying options different from the big three: blackjack, roulette, and baccarat. My search led me to discover Craps by Play’n GO, and I’m loving the game so far. If you’re reading this, it means you’re also interested in the title.

Craps is a straightforward dice game released at the start of 2023, so it’s still relatively new. While playing, the goal is to predict the outcome of the rolls. However, there’s more to know about the Play’n GO casino game before deciding if it suits your tastes. I played Craps daily for one week, and I’ll share all my findings in this post.

Craps Game Design

Play’n GO took diverse routes when creating Craps. What do I mean by that? Well, when I launched the game, I got the option to choose between three themes: Vintage, Classic, and Modern.

The Vintage design features a red table with gold and white marks. Indeed, it captured the vintage picture, and the female dealer character wore a fedora hat. When I switched to the Classic theme, the design was also quite impressive. This time, the table was green with yellow and white marks. The dealer had her hair all down, highlighting her classic character.

However, I must say my best design is the Modern theme. It’s as contemporary as you can imagine, with a bright blue table and gold and white marks. What I also found unique were the purple dice – for the vintage and classic, the dice were red and blue, respectively.

In my opinion, the fact that players can choose between three themes makes Craps by Play’n GO one of the best online casino games for dice lovers.

How to Play Craps Online

If you know how traditional craps work, you’ll have zero issues playing this Play’n GO casino game. The basic gameplay is the same. When you launch the game, you have to place your bets, and the two main options are Pass Line and Don’t Pass Bar (Don’t Pass Line).

A Pass Line bet simply means the first roll of the dice – the come-out roll – will result in 7 or 11. If it does, you win. Meanwhile, if the outcome is 2, 3, or 12, you lose. On the other hand, a Don't Pass Bar bet is the opposite. You’ll win if the come-out roll is a 2 or 3 and lose if it’s 7 or 11. If it’s a 12, there’s a push, and you get your money back. For both bets, any other number besides 2, 3, 7, 11, or 12 becomes the Point, and it’s used as a benchmark for subsequent rolls.

When I launched Craps by Play’n GO, I found the betting process effortless. All I had to do was click on chip values and drop them on the table area I wanted to bet on. The outer part of the table is the Pass Line, and right after it is the Don't Pass Bar. Meanwhile, other areas on the table feature more betting options such as Come, Don’t Come, and specific numbers.

After placing my bets, I clicked the dice icon to begin the roll. Based on the outcomes, the dealer indicated if I won or lost, and if it's the former, I get a payout accordingly.

My Experience Playing Craps on Mobile

After playing the game first-hand, I can say that Play’n GO designed online craps for mobile devices. The primary reason is that the game optimally adjusts to fit the screen, whether in portrait or landscape mode.

While playing in landscape mode, the view is like that of a PC, with the table fully visible and all game elements on it. However, in portrait mode, only the bet types are on the table. The chips and dice icons are on the outside, ensuring the interface isn’t cluttered.

Personally, I enjoyed playing in portrait mode on my smartphone because the view was much larger. That said, the experience while playing in landscape mode was also top-notch. My verdict is that online craps by Play’n GO is a 10/10 so far as mobile gaming goes.

My Experience Playing Craps for Free

Before wagering real money, I tried to play craps online for free in demo mode, and it was pretty fun. You can also access it by visiting the software provider’s official website. Also, top online casino sites featuring the game offer demo modes.

From my experience, there’s no difference between the free version and the real gameplay. Of course, the only variance is that you use virtual credits for the former. Other than that, the game design, bet limits, payouts, and all other features remain the same.

Craps vs Sic Bo

Just like Craps, Sic Bo is also a dice game. However, although both share lots of similarities, I also noticed a few differences while playing the games.

If you’re an avid dice game lover, you'll know that while Sic Bo depends on the outcome of three dice thrown together, Craps allows players to build their bets on multiple rolls.

But that's not the only difference. The table below contains the top dissimilarities between Craps and Sic Bo.

Where to Play Craps for Real Money

Play’n GO is a popular software provider, and so are its online casino games. As a result, there are many online casinos where you can play Craps while betting real money. I conducted extensive research on the best ones, and you can check out the best online casino with real money to play craps online for real money.

Craps Review Summary

My ultimate position is that any casino player who’s a fan of dice games will enjoy Craps by Play’n GO. In terms of gameplay, the casino software provider doesn’t deviate from the traditional. That’s an advantage as it means you won’t have to learn any new rules. Plus, you won’t need a heavy bankroll to play since the minimum bet is only $0.50.

From my first-hand tests, the game’s main selling points include the multiple theme options and mobile optimization. Thanks to these features, I’m sure you’ll have an enjoyable experience playing Craps by Play'n GO.
