Peek Baccarat

Peek Baccarat Review

Launched in 2022, Peek Baccarat from Evolution mirrors the standard Baccarat online, as the player with the hand closest to 9 wins each round. However, this live casino game is unique as it allows you to ‘peep’ the Banker and Player card before the croupier finishes dealing with changing your bet if you desire.

Playing Peek Baccarat isn't as easy as it sounds. You must understand the game mechanics, minimum and maximum bets, available bonus features, the Peek Baccarat strategy, and other relevant information to help you enjoy a rewarding gaming experience. In this Peek Baccarat review, you'll learn everything you need to know about playing this game online and with real money.

Peek Baccarat Game Design

Peek Baccarat game design isn't complicated. Once you launch the game, you'll see the dealer surrounded by outstanding design elements featuring green and gold colors.

As an Evolution casino game, the camera quality is top-notch and lets you focus on the table where the croupier awaits the players to join and start betting. The gameplay is simple, and you’ll enjoy increased winning probabilities. What I found most interesting is the expanding betting grid available in this new Evolution Baccarat variant. You can use this expanding betting grid to adjust bets mid-game.

In my opinion, the Peek Baccarat game room is beautifully designed and luxurious. Combined with the friendly and knowledgeable croupier and low background sound, you’re in for an immersive wagering experience.

How to Play Peek Baccarat Online

Peek Baccarat starts with a betting phase where interested players place wagers on their chosen betting option. This phase takes 14 seconds and the bets you can place here are Tie, Banker, and Player hands.

Peek Baccarat also offers two more side bets – Banker Pair and Player Pair. However, players can't place wagers on side bets if they haven't made the main wager. The game’s main attraction is the Peek feature, which lets players peep at the cards as the croupier deals them.

This feature helps players predict a game round’s outcome accurately and adjust their bets accordingly. Interestingly, you can peek at up to 4 cards to either double or triple your wager before the dealer finishes dealing the cards. But you’ll have to pay a 20% fee whether your bet wins or loses. Besides the Peek feature, this is just another standard Baccarat game with side bets and 3 main hands.

Like the regular Baccarat, this Evolution game is played with a deck of 8 games and follows the standard Baccarat rules. As such, the hand equal or nearest to nine wins. Note that a 5% commission is taken from your Banker wins, including the Peek fee.

Peek Baccarat Bet Information

Like regular Baccarat, there are different RTPs and payouts for each hand. For context, the Banker’s bet has a 98.80% RTP, which is the same as the standard Baccarat. Side Bets have an 89.64% RTP. The payout also differs depending on the bet.

While playing Peek Baccarat, I discovered the house edge is only 1.20%. Here’s a table showing the game’s payouts and RTP.

BetRTPPayout
Banker Pair89.64%11:1
Player Pair89.64%11:1
Tie93.36%8:1
Banker98.80%0:95:1
Player98.80%1:1

Note that the result of a hand doesn’t affect the Peek fee. However, it’ll impact your bankroll, as the fee will be deducted whether you win or lose the hand.

But, when you win, you won’t be paid the Peak fee as it isn’t part of your wager. As such, you’ll only receive your main bet. So, for a 1:1 payout on a Player bet win, what you’ll receive is 0:83:1 after removing the Peek fee.

Note that the minimum bet amount for Peek Baccarat by Evolution is $1, while the maximum is $10,000.

Peek Baccarat Bonus Features

Peek Baccarat is just the same with the regular Baccarat. The only difference is the Peek functionality. Both games use the same mechanics and have the exact same features. If you’re ready to play this unique Evolution game, here are a few features to leverage:

Peek Feature

The Peek feature is the only add-on that makes Peek Baccarat different from regular Baccarat casino games. While dealing with the cards, the croupier will expose up to 4 cards. Then, players can leverage this feature to “peep” at these cards and decide if they should increase their bets twice or thrice, depending on how favorable their card is compared to the exposed cards.

However, note that this feature doesn’t guarantee winnings. It’s still a 50-50 affair, as you can lose repeatedly like me. Also, you’ll be charged a 20% Peek fee if you place a Banker or Player bet.

Live Statistics

I recommend leveraging the Live statistic tool, especially if you’re a new player as it’ll help you study past bets to decide where to place your bet. You can also gain valuable insight that’ll catapult your gaming session to a greater height.

Pairs Side Bets

Like the standard Evolution Baccarat, you’ll find Pairs of side bets on the Peek Baccarat game. The Player or Banker Pairs win when their first two cards are a pair. Peek Baccarat players struggling with depleting bankroll can leverage this feature to play without paying the 20% Peek fee. As you know, the fee is only applicable to Bank and Player bets. However, you can’t wager on side bets if you haven’t placed a main bet.

My Experience Playing Peek Baccarat Live

Peek Baccarat by Evolution is a live dealer baccarat game, so you can’t try the game in demo mode to familiarize yourself with the gameplay mechanics. However, you can launch the game and monitor it for a while before confidently placing your wager.

After signing up at an online casino featuring this game from the renowned Evolution, I launched the game and was met with a beautiful female croupier. I had just 14 seconds to place my bet before a gaming round began.

While the minimum betting limit is $1, I funded my account for this game with $50. Sadly, my gaming fund quickly depleted as I was charged a 20% Peek fee each time I wagered, whether I won or lost.

However, this charge only applied whenever I placed Banker or Player bets. So, after a few deductions, I grudgingly started placing Pairs side bets too. Although these bets’ RTP were lower, the low house edge still ensures a rewarding gaming experience.

My Experience Playing Peek Baccarat for Real Money

As you already know, Peek Baccarat follows the standard Baccarat game rules. So, I had to place my wager on the Player or Banker position after funding my gaming account with $50. The winner is the hand that’s closer to nine. I lost the game a couple of times at my favorite real money casino online, as Lady Luck appeared to have a beef with me at that moment.

Note that once the hand is tied, bets are returned, excluding the Peek fee. The Peek feature lets the dealer reveal up to 4 cards after performing the initial deal. Players can then leverage the opportunity after seeing the cards to triple or double their bets before the dealer finishes dealing each hand.

Remember, you aren’t charged any additional fee for increasing your wager. Once the beautiful female croupier has completed dealing the hands, the hand closest to nine wins. You get 0:95:1 for a Banker win and 1:1 for a Player win.

I initially started with doubling my bet and lost, as the Peek feature offers a 50-50 winning chance. What’s worse? I was charged 20% for the Peek fee whether I won or lost the round.

Peek Baccarat Review Summary

Peek Baccarat is perfect for RNG live casino game fans who are tired of the regular Baccarat. While it follows the standard Baccarat rules, the Peek feature is the game changer. With this functionality, players can peep at up to 4 cards while the croupier is still dealing the hands, allowing them to increase their bets twice or thrice.

However, this feature attracts a 20% Peek fee if you place a Banker or Player bet. No pain, no gain. Right?
