Red Door Roulette

Red Door Roulette Review

You've had a Crazy Time and enjoyed playing roulette live, and now Evolution says it's time for Red Door Roulette. In this game, you’ll notice familiar elements like the iconic red door and the massive Crazy Time wheel. Also, Red Door Roulette’s virtual studio, coupled with the excellent audio and video quality, simply lets you know you're in an Evolution gaming territory.

Predictably, the Red Door Roulette begins on the betting grid where you place your bet. Your goal is to enter the bonus round and to do that, you'll need to place straight-up bets. Of course, you can still place other inside and outside bets, which pay out according to standard European Roulette rules.

Sounds like you want to play? This review will guide you through all you need to know about the mash-up game.

Red Door Roulette Game Design

From the moment I joined Red Door Roulette, it felt like stepping into a buzzing casino floor in Las Vegas. However, it was just the virtual design, background music, and the lively dealer’s energy pulling me in.

The game is designed with the Timer filling me in on the betting time duration. The Chip display lets me click the value of each chip I want to bet.

Red Door Roulette also features a double button that becomes clickable after placing my bet. Similarly, the Repeat and Undo buttons are all displayed on the screen.

If you’re playing with your mobile device, you'll notice winning numbers for recent spins displayed at the top of your screen. Also, at the top of the betting grid, there's a single green zero that is not covered by any column. However, below that, a grid of 3 columns and 12 rows showing numbers 1 through 36 are displayed, each decked out in either red or gold.

At the bottom of the grid, you’ll find your classic "2 to 1" box, where you can place your chip for a column bet. By the side of the betting grid, there are the "1st 12," "2nd 12," and "3rd 12" boxes for those dozen bets. These boxes are followed by a 1-18 box to cover the first 18 even numbers while the 2nd 12 covers the 18 red or black numbers, and lastly, the 3rd 12 is the second set of 18 numbers from 19-36, which are odd numbers. This creative setup opens up more strategic betting options for both newbies and pro bettors.

I love how Red Door Roulette has a mini grid button I could click to place straight-up bets quickly. Additionally, the game displays a Neigbour Bets button on the screen. When tapped it reveals a special racetrack-shaped betting section that helps players place special bets like Tiers du Cylindre, Orphelins, Voisins and Zero.

At the bottom of the screen, there was my welcomed distraction: a live chat feature where you can react and chat with other players in real time, adding a social touch that makes everything feel more connected.

Wait, there's more, such as the "Menu," which contains the Lobby, Chat, Live Support, Stats, Favorite Bets, and Game History. Plus, you can access "Settings," check out "How to Play," look up "Payouts and Limits," or head back to "Home" whenever you like.

In the studio setup, the live dealer stands next to the large, single-column slot reel. This slot contains the game’s “keys,” and they’re placed on the betting grid as the round's bonus numbers.

Then there's the star of the show: an automatic roulette wheel on a plinth. It has its gold turret and red edges illuminated by light bulbs. It sits at the center of the game studio, drawing my eyes with its dynamic, lively feel.

The room's background color is a rich mix of red and gold, with a golden or light yellow floor, giving it that high-end casino vibe.

One of the coolest elements has to be the familiar Crazy Time "Red Door," positioned beside the slot reel with its golden accents and glowing light bulbs. Whenever the Crazy Time bonus is triggered, the dealer heads through this iconic red door, whisking me away to a virtual studio for the next level of fun.

How to Play Red Door Roulette Online

The Red Door Roulette game features a standard online roulette grid numbered 0 to 36. Your goal is to predict where the ball will land after the live dealer spins the wheel. Personally, I like to place a straight-up bet, which involves betting on a single number. I prefer this strategy as, according to the Red Door Roulette rules, only straight-up bets qualify for the Crazy Time session. However, it's worth noting that the payout for this bet is reduced to 19:1.

During the betting time, you select your preferred number before the dealer spins the single reel. This reel generates a random number, which the dealer announces as the number of bonus keys available on the roulette grid. For example, if the reel produces the number seven, then seven lucky numbers will be highlighted on the grid with keys, with some of these numbers carrying multipliers ranging from 2x to 20x.

Once the bonus keys are revealed, the ball is spun on the roulette wheel. When the ball settles into a pocket, you'll find out if your chosen number is the winning one. The dealer then announces the total number of bettors who selected the winning number. If the ball lands in a pocket marked with a "key," it unlocks the bonus round. This bonus wheel has the potential to multiply your winnings by up to 4,000x.

At this point, best of luck to ya!

Red Door Roulette Bet Information

The return-to-player percentage (RTP) for bets placed on Red Door Roulette is 97.30%, except for straight-up bets with a slightly lower RTP of 97.09%. This is cool compared to the 96% average RTP found in most live casino games.

The maximum multiplier in the bonus round is a staggering 4,000x your initial bet. Picture this: if you wagered $10, you could potentially win $40,000 if you hit the maximum multiplier!

The minimum bet for this live casino game is just $0.20, while the maximum betting amount is $5,000. However, the maximum payout is capped at $500,000.

Red Door Roulette offers a variety of bet types with different limits and payouts. These include straight-up, split, street, corner, line, column, dozen, red/black, even/odd, and 1-18/19-36 bets.

Red Door Roulette Bonus Features

With just four game-changing features, Evolution nailed this one. Here are the bonus elements you'll find at Red Door Roulette:

Autoplay

I never pass up the chance to use the autoplay feature – it takes the load off, placing the same bet over multiple game rounds. One thing I noticed, though, is that I tend to place bets more frequently than I would manually.

Keys with Multipliers

Random numbers on the roulette wheel can be assigned keys with multipliers ranging from 2x to 20x. These keys activate the Crazy Time bonus round, significantly boosting your potential rewards.

Crazy Time Bonus Round

In front of the single-reel, there’s a 64-segment wheel packed with multipliers and doubles. When the live dealer spins the wheel, and it lands on a bonus number, all the multipliers on the wheel are multiplied by that number. The resulting multiplier is then applied to your winnings.

Double Bonus

Evolution goes all out again with the Double Bonus feature. If the wheel stops on the Double segment, all the multipliers are doubled. The wheel is then spun again, and if it lands on Double once more, the multipliers are doubled. This can continue until the multipliers reach a maximum limit of 4,000x.

My Experience Playing Red Door Roulette Live

As I played Red Door Roulette live at the best live roulette casinos, I noticed the betting time started ticking immediately after the game began. I placed my bet before the timer ran out, and then the croupier walked in to spin the single reel. While the reel was still spinning, she kept the atmosphere lively by engaging us in conversation, even answering fun questions like what her favorite drink was.

At the top of my screen, there was a row displaying the recent winning numbers that had appeared on the wheel, alongside multipliers attached to those numbers. In the right-hand corner, I could easily see my balance, total bet, and the minimum and maximum bet limits.

The single reel made a distinct spinning sound as the dealer spun it. Although she had a non-English accent, I loved it and understood her clearly.

At the end of each session, the game displayed the number of players who won their bets. Thankfully, I was one of ‘em.

My Experience Playing Red Door Roulette for Real Money

I jumped right into the Red Door Roulette online and quickly set up 25 rounds of auto-play. My first game round playing for real money had eight keys scattered across the betting grid, and I was lucky enough to pick one of them.

Sometimes, I found random multipliers popping up on the bonus squares, ranging anywhere from 2x to 20x. When that happens, I get into the Crazy Time bonus round, and the multiplier is applied to all the numbers on the Crazy Time wheel.

While playing with real money, I noticed the bonus round happens pretty often – seven times out of my 25 rounds of auto-play. From what I’ve seen, I'd say the payouts aren't massive because the bonus rounds are frequent. The payout usually falls somewhere between 20x and 100x. Going over 100x does happen, but it's pretty rare.

This game is definitely a rollercoaster – a high-volatility ride where you get lots of small payouts with the occasional big win.
