American Triple Double Gold is a 2024 video slot released by Games Global and its partnering studio, Circular Arrow. It’s a sequel to American Double Gold, the studio’s maiden title symbolically released on July 4.

The American Triple Double Gold slot has a vintage design, resembling old-school stepper slots or “one-arm bandits.” It features three reels and nine paylines and boasts four fixed jackpots, the highest of which awards 1,000x your bet. You can get this payout if you match three 3X wild symbols.

I decided to test this intriguing video slot, so I made a real money deposit at a casino online and played a few hundred spins. Read on to learn more about the game’s details and my personal experience playing it.

American Triple Double Gold carries a patriotic theme. An Uncle Sam-like character appears whenever you get stacked wilds. The smiling Statue of Liberty also shows up as one of the base game symbols, and the jackpot game features red, white, and blue bags of gold. Other than that, the game is designed to resemble a vintage slot machine, complete with typical sound effects and the popping of coins.

There are three reels and three rows, although the symbols can appear on the top and bottom row or just the middle row, depending on how the reel stops. Wilds are the only symbols that can appear on all three rows simultaneously, as they come stacked. The game features nine fixed paylines and six symbols, including three different BAR symbols, a Statue of Liberty, a star-spangled number 7, and a wild symbol worth 1x, 2x, or 3x.

American Triple Double Gold by Games Global has 11 betting denominations ranging from $0.20 to $40. You can hold the Spin button to open the autoplay settings to activate 10, 25, 50, or 100 automatic plays, and the lightning icon below the Spin button turns on the quick spin mode.

A win is awarded when matching symbols land adjacent to each other on any of the nine paylines, with all of the wild symbols acting as substitutes. A 1X wild can only appear on reels 1 and 3, while 2X and 3X only appear on the middle reel. The wilds often come stacked. Aside from matching identical BAR symbols, you can also win by landing any three BAR symbols on a payline, although this yields the lowest reward in the game of 0.50x. The most you can win in the base game is 1,000x, which occurs when you match three 3X wilds.

American Triple Double Gold doesn’t have a typical free spins game like many of its fellow slots. Instead, it has a Blackout feature, which triggers when you get wilds on each of the three reels, causing you to win all paylines at the current bet.

The game’s wilds also serve to trigger the jackpot game. Namely, every time a wild lands, it’s collected in the coin pot left of the reels. With each new wild, the chance of triggering the jackpot game increases.

Once you finally get to the jackpot game, you will be presented with 12 balloons. Popping each balloon will reveal one of the four colored bags of gold, with each color corresponding to one of the jackpot prizes. To win any jackpot, you must reveal three bags of the same color. The jackpots are fixed and include Mini (5x), Minor (10x), Major (50x), and Grand (1,000x).

My session with American Triple Double Gold was pretty disappointing. I started with $200 in my balance and slowly dipped to $119, at which point I decided to quit. By the time I stopped, I must have played over 500 spins.

I only got the Blackout feature twice, and although I triggered the jackpot mini game quite a few times, I never managed to win the Grand prize. I won the Mini jackpot most of the time, the Minor jackpot twice, and the Major jackpot once.

Honestly, I was a bit disappointed at the jackpot values as they seem a bit low. It also makes triggering the jackpot feature less special and exciting than in other slots.

American Triple Double Gold has a registered RTP of 96.02%, making it a fairly average video slot in that regard. Like in most slots with high volatility, the winning spins are few and far between and most payouts are nothing to write home about. The max payout is just 1,000x, which is relatively modest considering this classifies as a “jackpot slot.”

I would recommend playing American Triple Double Gold if you like plain classic slots with not too many extra features. The game is easy to figure out, as there are only a few base symbols, three wilds, and a simple jackpot feature. I also generally liked the game’s theme and overall vibe.

On the other hand, I would not recommend this slot to high rollers. The max bet of $40 and the max win of 1,000x are certainly not attractive enough for someone looking to score big wins. If you’re looking for something with greater prize potential, try Divine Divas from Play’n GO (5,000x max win) or Quackin' Reels from Relax Gaming (10,000x max win).
