Bigger Catch Bass Fishing is all about fishing. The action takes place on the shore of a lake. The 5x3 grid is located in the center, with snowy mountains in the background and the reels set under the waves. Bubbles act as separators for the reels. The controls are set beneath them to the left and the right. On the left side, you’ll see the jackpots and their values.

You’ll find all kinds of fishing equipment on the reels, including a boat, lines, and stylized card royals. Fish of all sizes with different values appear, too. It’s not the most visually impressive slot, but it does the trick. The visuals are accompanied by top-notch audio effects, so the atmosphere is as immersive as it gets.

Bigger Catch Bass Fishing is easy to play. You start by choosing a bet from the picker in the lower left corner. Click on it to bring it up, then choose a bet from 10c to $25 per spin. Click on the spin button when you’re ready to throw the line.

Wins are formed for three or more matching symbols on a line from left to right. That’s two or more for the top three premiums, which include the fisherman, a boat, and a fishing rod. The fisherman is only active during free spins and Lightning Spins and plays the role of a wild.

You start with three respins, and all fishermen that land on the reels reset the respins tally. Of course, they still also collect all fish values, and any golden fisherman can boost prizes by x10. Fill every position on the grid for a further x5 boost.

The buy bonus option costs 75x for the bonus rounds. You can also pay 180x for the golden catch feature, where only golden fishermen are active.

Bigger Catch Bass Fishing is a cool if not overly familiar, fishing-themed slot. It doesn’t bring a lot of innovation to the table, mostly sticking to the wild fish collecting mechanic. The base game didn’t impress me, and it wasn’t easy reaching the bonus round. I ended up paying 75x for the free bonus spins, and luckily, they paid back even more.

After a while, I decided to pay 180x for the Golden Catch feature to see how it works. It’s the same as the free spins round, but the golden fisherman can catch much bigger in this pond. It eventually paid 120x, although it could pay more with higher multipliers.

The Lightning Spins bonus round was the most exciting in my experience. The Hold & Win-like feature is more dynamic and fun to play, and it also paid back more than the others, as I walked away with 80x while triggering it naturally.

If you like fishing-themed slots, you’ll like Bigger Catch Bass Fishing. It’s not a ground-breaking innovation in the world of fishing-themed slots, but it does a good job. The winning potential is amazing, and there are two bonus rounds. However, I couldn’t help but feel that there was something missing. Fishing-themed slots are too much alike, and this one fits the bill as well.
