Okay, let’s not waste any time and state that this game can be summed up in three letters. Those letters are O, M, and G. Yes, Relax Gaming has managed to make me pause and question every life decision that got me here. Seriously, I’m lost for words.
Alas, my reviews cannot end here, and I must also make any reader go through the same nightmare. Spoiler Alert: I will be discussing how awful the game looks and sounds. Highlighting what the performance is like through its programming and what you are potentially able to win should the casino online you join host this game.
Our review comes with a free to play Bill & Coin demo. You can use this to experience the game first-hand, and test run the software without any payment, download, or registration needed.
If the intro scene makes you pause and look massively confused, then you are about where I am right now, and I wrote this review weeks ago. So, Bill and Coin are the game’s characters, who spend most of the time weirdly gyrating next to the slot.
The game comes with a 4x5 layout. The theme is, well, money. The design is pretty horrid, and it looks like no real thought went into it. Even the animation is somewhat lazy and doesn’t add anything to the game.
If I have not been clear about my feelings about this game so far, then bear with me whilst I reiterate my disdain. From the moment I saw this was a Relax Gaming slot, I was overwhelmed with flashbacks of me on the floor, hugging my knees, as I rocked back and forth.
Bill & Coin by Relax Gaming is a tumble slot, so there are no reels to spin. Still, you ironically need to press the spin button to play the game. Before doing so, you can adjust the price setting, which goes from $0.10 to $100 per spin. Upon pressing the spin button, all symbols drop into the game. If nothing lands, all symbols drop out on the next spin to be replaced by new ones dropping in.
When a win lands, there is a chance to land consecutive wins because as winning symbols vanish from the game, those above them drop down, and new symbols fall in to fill the vacant areas. So, this means multiple wins can be triggered from just one ‘spin’.
Also, Bill & Coin comes with 4,096 Ways to Win. This is a programming feature that removes the concept of paylines. Instead, you only have to land matching symbols of 3 or more on adjacent rows to trigger a win.
The control panel allows you to select auto-play or fast-play options. You can also access the game’s paytable from the menu. This will provide you with exact information about the game and embedded features.
Land 3 bonus symbols, and you will not only activate loud and annoying poppers but also 3 bonus options: Sure Win, Multiplier Ladder, and Coin Track. Time to take your pick if this happens.
Sure Win: 5 Free spins, with a guaranteed win for each spin played. Also includes a multiplier.
Multiplier Ladder: 5 Free spins with Multiplier Ladder feature and comes with re-spins included.
Coin Track: Collect enhanced coin values before they reach the end of the track. Played with multiplier values included.

Anyway, once loaded, I left the game on the default spins of $0.10, hit the autoplay button of 50 spins, and immediately left the room. Foolishly, I left the sound on and was forced to pack my belongings into my car, grab my dog, and drive around the block for 15 minutes. I later returned to silence; all was safe, and I had won enough from my spins to break even. If truth be told, I was exactly $1.21 in the green. That doesn’t even cover the cost of the petrol fumes I just put into the atmosphere.
Bill & Coin is a very basic game on the surface, and if it deserves any ounce of praise, then yes, well done, Relax Gaming, having a take-your-pick bonus option, is very cool. But that’s it. For the rest of the game, it looks like I sneezed on my screen.
The maximum that can be won, if you are lucky, is 10,000 times your bet value per spin. Given that $100 is the max price to pay per spin, this equals a potential jackpot amount of $1,000,000.
The RTP rating comes in at 96.10%. This is average for a casino game like Bill & Coin, and to be fair, there are many games out there with worse ratings that come with less high payout values. When it comes to performance programming, Bill & Coin comes with a high volatility setting. This means winning can be difficult and costly. The appeal of such games comes from the fact that the big wins are worth it in the end.
Bill & Coin is not the best game released by Relax Gaming, and whilst the payout is good and the bonus feature is refreshingly different, I have seen it all before. Well, maybe not the bad design, but the gameplay. It offers nothing new, and it is what it is.
Frankly, there are more appealing games out there in the world of casinos, and just off the bat, here are some worthier slot machines that provide big money payouts and a better style of play and opportunity. Nitropolis 4 by ELK Studios, and Book of Time by Hacksaw Gaming.
