The Diamond Rush Express takes players high into the mountains with the reel situated under a bridge set between mines. The design, for the most part, is fairly generic for the genre, with a golden train traveling across the bridge collecting diamonds and an upbeat tune playing as the reels spin. 

In terms of symbols, the slot follows the genre’s blueprint, with spades, gold bars, lanterns, pickaxes, and dynamite all present and correct. There are a few animations on display, but overall, I found little that makes this game stand out visually. 

The base game of Diamond Rush is also fairly conventional. The slot uses five reels and four rows, with 20 paylines active on each spin. Line wins begin with the leftmost reel and pay left to right for matching combinations of three or more. 

The stake is adjusted by clicking on the total bet button under the grid, and players can trigger the Autospin feature by holding the spin button. 

The Diamond Rush Express slot comes to life with the Rush Express feature, which is a collection-style gameplay mechanic. When either a Bell or Gold Train lands on the fifth reel, with a Rush Express symbol on one of the first four, a Rush Express bonus is triggered. A Bell Symbol will collect all prizes from the Rush Express Symbols and pay them out, while the Gold Train will take them and add them to the train above the reels. This then awards the value up to 10 times. 

Each Rush Express symbol is awarded a mini-feature to determine its prize value. The final colored train can trigger its corresponding colored jackpot. These are the Mini, Minor, Major, and Grand, which award 20x, 50x, 500x, and 5,000x the player’s stake, respectively. 

Rush Express prizes can also be boosted if they land with a Diamond Multiplier on the reels. When they are not used as part of Rush Express wins, Diamonds are collected above the reels. 

The game also has a Free Spins round, which is launched when you land a bonus symbol on reels 1, 3, and 5 at the same time. If there are less than 100 Diamonds collected before the round triggers, players will get 10 free spins. 

If more than 100 have been collected, players will trigger the Diamond Free Spins. During this round, a Bell or Gold Train is guaranteed to land on each spin, significantly increasing the chances of the Rush Express feature triggering. 

Finally, the slot also has the Pick Feature. This feature can trigger after any random base game, thanks to a Nugget symbol. Players must then attempt to match three symbols to win a prize. 

I found the Diamond Rush Express slot a very smooth slot to play at my favorite top slots site, with the game working well on my desktop and mobile devices. I also tested the slot on Google Chrome and Safari and found that it worked well on both. 

In the Diamond Rush Express slot I tested, the minimum bet was $0.20, and the maximum was $50. This was a flexible enough range, though some higher-rollers might want it to offer a little more.
