If you’ve ever been to a carnival, you probably know that clawing machines are among the most popular games. It’s the ultimate game of luck and possibly skill, where your goal is to snatch the teddy bear or any other prize beneath the claw. I don’t know many people who have gotten the prize, and I haven’t managed to win myself (not for the lack of trying). But you can bet that you can snatch some cool teddy bears and fabulous cash prizes in Wishbone’s Furs Gone Wild slot.
Released by Games Global, the slot takes you to a carnival where you’ll play on a mini slot machine. Look above the reels, and you’ll find tiny claws that can snatch the plushies beneath them. You’ll see tickets that can combine to deliver fantastic features in the bonus round. There’s not a lot of bonus action, but if you like colorful carnivals and plushies, there’s a great chance you’ll love it.

Furs Gone Wild has a simple setup. It’s easy to read, even if you’re a beginner. The 5x3 grid is in the center of the screen, with a plush teddy bear on the left side. The reels are set inside a clawing machine, with claws above every reel and plushies under each.
The graphics and animations are excellent. Wishbone has managed to perfectly capture the atmosphere of a carnival with clawing machines. The audio fits the visuals, as do the sound effects when you spin the reels and win. It’s all a bit Nintendo-like and will definitely evoke feelings of nostalgia.
The scatter tickets and their modifiers are a welcome sight. I also loved that the slot uses the claws above each reel to expand wilds, which is innovative thinking.
Playing the Furs Gone Wild slot by Games Global is much easier than playing a clawing machine. You will still need to insert coins, though. Choose a bet from 20c to $40 per spin and hit the spin button to begin. The rules are simple. You need three or more plushies or card royals for a win. You can score maximum wins of 40x for five on a payline. There are 30 of those, and they’re fixed, so you can’t adjust the number of paylines.
The elephant plushie pays the most – 30x for five. It’s only trumped by the Teddy Bear Wild, which pays a maximum of 100x for the same combination. The wild can also link wins together by substituting for other symbols in winning combinations. There’s a catch with it, involving the claws above each reel.
When a teddy bear lands, a claw will take it and expand it upwards only. Wilds that land anywhere above the bottom row also award a respin. When it occurs, the wilds will move one position down, after which the slot will process wins.
There’s another special type of the Teddy Bear Wild – the golden teddy bear. If the claw picks it up successfully—and it’s as rare as getting the prize in a claw machine—you’ll hit the maximum win of 6,000x the bet. This can only happen in the base game.
Right beneath the reels, you’ll see empty slots that fit tickets. Four similar ticket symbols play the role of scatters. No two scatters of the same kind can land on a single spin. The four scatters are normal, multiplier, extra free spins, and big reels. Their features can be combined and only work in the bonus round.
Land three scatter symbols on reels 1, 3, and 5 to trigger the slot bonus. If the three scatter symbols are lit on the machine, they award a feature at the end of the round. The bonus feature always starts with six free spins and one or more of the scatter features.
Depending on the triggering scatters, you can get these features mixed up for fun results. You’ll have to wait and trigger the bonus naturally, though, as there’s no way to buy into it.
Furs Gone Wild was a fun spin session at the carnival. I hate claw machines and feel they’re a scam. However, this one isn’t, and those expanding wilds came in handy many times during my session. I played the slot with a bet of $1 per spin, and thanks to the teddy bears, I hit decent 10x wins twice during my first 30 or so spins.
Getting to the bonus round was challenging, and it took around 60 spins. It was worth it, though, as I had the big reels with the multiplier modifier and four extra spins (a total of ten). Ultimately, I won 94x in total, which made it rewarding and exciting to play. I’m still disappointed there’s no buy bonus feature, though.
Furs Gone Wild has a highly volatile math model with an RTP of 96.25%. The maximum payout is 6,000x for the golden teddy bear.
Furs Gone Wild may not be the highest-paying slot on the market, but it has a pretty unique theme. I can’t think of many slots based on a claw machine, making this one feel pretty distinct. The scatter tickets and their modifiers are a welcome sight. I also loved that the slot uses the claws above each reel to expand wilds, which is innovative thinking.

Yes, it does. You need three carnival ticket scatters to trigger the free spins round. You receive six free spins, which can be expanded with a maximum of six extra spins with the appropriate scatter. The scatter tickets can combine, giving you a larger grid, multipliers, or the expanding wild feature from the base game.
There’s no way to buy the bonus round in the Furs Gone Wild slot. I think it would have been better for the developer to have added it. Getting to the bonus round can be tricky due to the slot’s high volatility.
