Push Gaming has released a slot, and if you are a fan of the developer, you know what that means: an out-of-the-ordinary slot. That's precisely what you get, a slot that does not conform with regular real money slots but provides you with next-level setup and gameplay, called Generous Jack.
The Generous Jack slot does not have the usual grid; it has a grid consisting of 4 rows with 3-4-5-6 positions, bottom to top. It does not have paylines, either, but it actually has a Win What You See mechanics, to be explained below. It is highly volatile, though, as you would expect from Push Gaming slots, and it offers a huge payout potential. Check it out to see what the fuss is all about!
When loaded, the Generous Jack real money slot gives you the Roaring Twenties vibe, and you feel as if you've entered a tavern from way back when, where you can hear the people shouting and drinking, playing cards, and a piano playing in the background. The backdrop looks like a gambling table, as you can see chips and cards all over, and the grid itself looks like a sign from Las Vegas.
On the left of the grid, you see a meter, to be elaborated on later. Below it, you see the six-dot button, and that's where you'll find the paytable. Inside, you'll see the golden Jack symbol, which pretty much looks like Mr Monopoly, all smiling and cheery. You also see the black dud symbols, and the chips with numbers. Duds do not give a payout at all. And since the Win What You See mechanic is in play, these symbols won’t form winning combos, per se, but as explained later, will give you payouts according to some rules. They do need to land on the active area of the grid, though, to give a payout. Essentially, placing the entry-level bet, which can go from $0.01 to $100 per spin, only the lowest reel is active, with 3 symbol positions, and the RTP would be 96.23%. You need to pay 5x, 20x, or 30x the stake if you want to activate the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th rows, respectively, and for that, the RTP will increase to 96.45%.
Moving on to the right, you see the Speaker button, where you can adjust the sounds, the Balance and Total Bet displays, and the Win display. The Autoplay and Play buttons are last. Above them, you see the three options for activating the areas, the buttons with 5x, 20x, and 50x the stake for the entire grid to be active.
Even though looking as though it came from the past, Generous Jack is more than a modern slot, actually, playable across all desktop and mobile devices. Whether you have an iOS or Android mobile device, you just need to load it and the slot will fit your screen perfectly, displaying all the little details we just explained. Whether you’d prefer playing it in landscape or portrait mode, you can rest assured it will play smoothly.
As mentioned, you first need to decide how many rows of the grid you’d want to be active before you start playing. Placing the Super Bets, 5x, 20x, or 50x the stake, you’ll activate the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th row, otherwise, with the basic bet, you’ll only play on the lowest row with 3 positions.
You'd need to then press the Spin button and the reels will spin. The Chips display a Bet Multiplier value from 1 through 9, then you have the Duds and the Jack symbols. Now, to explain how these symbols pay. Say, you've landed a Chip with the number 8 on the bottom row, and a 2 on the 2nd row. In this case, you get 10x the stake payout, as these will be added together. In case you’ve landed the same numbers next to each other in the same order, you get 82x the stake payout! But if there was a Dud between the two numbers on the same row, the 10x the stake payout remains.
The Jack symbol, though, is essential to the game, of course. When it lands, it is collected in the previously mentioned meter, and if not, all rows were unlocked, it will unlock one. If a Jack symbol appears on the newly unlocked row, you get a Respin and the Jack symbol is again collected. But another row won’t be activated if during the Respin another Jack lands, even though the Jack would be collected.
During the Respins, the Chips are held in place and only Duds participate in the Respin. Wins are evaluated when Respins stop. When the regular spins start, the grid returns to the original state, the one you paid for to play on.
When you’ve collected 3 Jacks and filled the first three slots on the meter, you trigger 3 Free Spins, but when you fill the 4th, 5th, and 6th slots on the meter, you get 5, 7, or 20 Free Spins, respectively. The Free Spins Bonus starts after all Respins have ended, and during the Generous Jack Bonus Round, only Duds and Chips appear. During the round, the rows which were active on the triggering spin remained active.
Generous Jack is a highly volatile slot, as most slots by Push Gaming are. It comes with an RTP of 96.23%, which may increase to 96.45% when you place the Super Bet. The maximum payout the slot can deliver is 10,000x the stake.
This means that should you play it for the max basic bet of $100, you could win $1,000,000 playing Generous Jack.
