Gladiators and Ancient Rome are big sources of inspiration for slot developers, and PG Soft invites us to armor up and head into battle once again with the Gladiator’s Glory online slot. The slot invites players into the Colosseum, where they can land wins of up to 5,000x their stake and trigger a free spins round complete with multipliers. Does the slot live up to its name? Or is it going to get a thumbs down from the Emperor? That’s what I’m about to find out in this Gladiator’s Glory slot review. 

The Gladiator’s Glory game did immediately grab my attention thanks to its unique reel design. The slot uses reels of different sizes, allowing the game to offer an enhanced number of ways to win. 

Outside of this, though, very little in the game’s design stands out. The slot’s grid is placed inside the colosseum, with the symbols being made up of Gladiator’s tools, including a sword and shield, some sandals, and a spear. A rousing soundtrack plays as you spin the reels to immerse you in the atmosphere. 

As I have already mentioned in this Gladiator’s Glory slot, the game has a unique reel set-up. It has five reels, with a 3-4-5-4-3 row design. This allows the slot to offer 720 ways to win on each spin, with winning combinations formed of three or more matching symbols in any position on consecutive reels. 

The control panel is below the reels, with players able to access the paytable, rules, and their betting history on the game. 

PG Games has kept things fairly basic with the Gladiator’s Glory bonus features. The first you are likely to encounter is the Multiplier Symbols. These can land on any spin and can be worth 2x, 3x, or 5x. These are then applied to any spins that take place on the reels. 

The main bonus is the Gladiator’s Glory Free Spins round. This is launched when you land three or more Scatter symbols. The game will reward you with ten free spins, with each additional Scatter rewarding two more. During the round, all Multipliers are paid out and then added to the bottom of the reels and are paid out again at the end of the round. 

Unfortunately, this is the only way into the bonus round, with no Buy Bonus option available. 

I played the Gladiator’s Glory online slot on my Macbook and an Android tablet. I used both Google Chrome and Safari to test the game and found no performance issues with either. The slot remains in portrait mode when being played on mobiles, with the control panel being accessible via a burger menu. 

You can play the game for between $0.60 and $180, which is a wide betting range that should cover the majority of budgets. However, if you’re the kind of player who loves to spin for $0.10 or $0.20, then you might be a little disappointed. 

I would recommend taking the Gladiator’s Glory demo for a free spin before you play the game for real money. This is an excellent way of determining whether or not you want to play the slot. Unfortunately, the lack of a Buy Bonus option means you can not test the slot bonuses out for free first. 

The biggest win you can land in the Gladiator’s Glory slot is a solid but not spectacular 5,000x your stake. The game does not specify how this is won. The RTP clocks in at a very strong 96.75%, with high RTPs being a common pattern in PG Soft titles. The slot is considered medium on the volatility scale. 

Gladiatory’s Glory is one of PG Soft’s less memorable slots. The game does have some potential, with the Multipliers adding up in the Free Spins round to provide some good wins, but the lack of interesting features otherwise and the average maximum win of 5,000x your stake mean that this is not a title destined for too much glory.
