Well, hellooooooooo, baby! Call me shallow, perverse, pathetic, and severely lacking any moral substance, but it’s not something my past partners haven’t told me already. Mistress, you are looking mighty fine. I’d end the review on that note, but let’s tell you more about Gold Mine Mistress by Red Tiger and why you should play it besides drooling over an animated character. While it’s not the kind of mistress I would typically dream of, this game comes a close second. 

Being a Red Tiger slot, it does have the option to enter their Golden Drop progressive jackpot series. Long story short, you can potentially win one of two jackpots, maybe both if you’re insanely lucky: The Golden Drop Jackpot and the Daily Drop Jackpot.

For this review, I took the game on firsthand and will share the results of my experience. I discuss how the slot is played, what special features are available, bonus rounds, the jackpot values, and how the software programming performs. 

The setting of the game takes place in a gold mine of sorts. The design for a backdrop is pretty rubbish, considering you can’t clearly tell what is going on. Anyway, the slot itself gives a classic layout of 5-reels and 3-rows that provide 20 paylines. 

Above the reels is a gold nugget counter that has 7 black spaces with one providing a multiplier value. Next to this is a spins counter, which counts up to 8 spins that are played. Those with a shrewd eye will notice the ‘gamble’ button, which is a surprising addition, given it’s not 2009 anymore.

The gaming for this is really simple. First, load the slot from any of the top casinos online. Make your deposit and set the value of the bet once the game is running. The price of play starts as low as $0.20 per spin and rises to a max bet cost of $4. Now, take note that by altering prices during play, you reset your progress in the game. If you revert back to your original bet amount, the progress of that value will pick up from when you last played with that amount. With your bet in place, select the big yellow spin button to rotate the reels and begin play. Wins are formed by aligning 3 matching symbols across any of the 20 paylines. The higher-valued symbols for Gold Mine Mistress are the dwarfs, and the lower-valued ones are the varied crystals.

The central square of the slot is where the Gold Nugget can land. When it does, a nugget is added to the counter above the reels. The Spin counter will move up towards 8 with each spin played. With the 8th spin played, you are guaranteed a win. Just before, the Mistress will arrive in the center square with a multiplier, which is added to the winning amount. This feature is called the Mistress Wild and can be a single square symbol or an expanded wild covering the whole reel. Getting all 7 nuggets leads to an x50 multiplier added to your win.

For any win that lands, players can choose to gamble the winnings. This option opens a mini wheel-of-fortune game with various stakes to choose from, and the higher you pick, the narrower the chances become on the wheel.

That’s the basics of playing Gold Mine Mistress. However, there is a special bonus feature.

In Gold Mine Mistress, players can activate the free spins bonus. The bonus scatter symbol is the green apple. If the apple lands on the 5th reel of your 8th spin, you will unlock UNLIMITED FREE SPINS! This includes different variations of the Mistress Wild that can land on any of the central three reels.

Red Tiger slots are among my favorite, purely because, I feel, they design their games to give players a real chance. The perfect example of this is the 8-spin counter that guarantees a payout on the 8th spin.

My favorite online casino had the game, so I loaded it up, deposited $100 to play, and selected 50 auto-spins at $2 a spin. The game was lively from the start; the 8-spin counter helped to bring wins in, but ultimately, over the 50 spins I played, I didn’t win enough to make a cashout. I also didn’t get to trigger any of the bonus free spins. 

A bit of a muted experience. While the Mistress is hot, I have played better games from Red Tiger. I think the failings come from a combination of things. The features are lacking, with only one bonus game, and the concept doesn’t work. This is unusual for Red Tiger slots, but you might get a better kick out of it than I did. 

The jackpots of this game are progressive, so they are not set in stone. They will accumulate in value until the prizes are won. Within the basic game, the max payout is capped at 20,000 times the value of your bet. If you play at a max bet of $4, you can win $80,000!

As this is a progressive jackpot slot, the RTP is lower than standard. Gold Mine Mistress comes in with a score of 95.74%. The volatility is also programmed to a high setting, which can make this game costly when chasing the big wins.

All comments aside, the Gold Mine Mistress slot by Red Tiger isn’t one of their best games. A lot is lacking, and the concept doesn’t hold up. The whole dwarf miner gimmick is way overdone with slot developers. The Red Tiger progressive series is, however, worth a play.
