Canny the Can returns in another series expansion by Hacksaw Gaming. This time, we are introduced to the slot Keep’ Em. This game comes with all the usual looks of a Canny the Can slot machine and this time; he is back with his sidekick, Bob the Bird.
In making this review, I play the real money game firsthand, present my experience, and share with you how the game is played and what can potentially be won. I go over the software programming and design. I cover the bonus features and jackpot, and I round off my review of Keep ‘Em with my verdict and other slot recommendations.
The free Keep ‘Em demo is embedded in this review for you to access and play. You can also find the best online casinos supplying Keep ‘Em as a real money game by using the reviews at Casinos.com.
Keep ‘Em is one of those quirky yet charming games reminiscent of 1930s animation with a modern twist. The game is set in the forest, and the only audio is that of birds singing. The slot stands with 5 rows and 6 reels. The two central reels have a divider for one of the game features. To the left of the reels is Bob the Bird, and to the right, looking like he’s buzzing off some illegal substance, is Canny the Can. The game does come with some cool street art elements that are found within the symbol icons.
I loved the experience of this game. It was mute in its presence, but the gameplay was top-of-the-line. Highly recommend it.
You’ll find the Keep ‘Em slot game inside several top casinos online. Locate and load, and then set the betting value that you pay per spin. The minimum bet is $0.10 and prices climb upwards to $100 per spin. Once the value is set, begin playing by selecting the spin button.
Because of the game’s layout, there are no paylines, only ways to win. Keep ‘Em comes with 15,625 ways to win. All you have to do is land 3 or more of the same symbol across adjacent reels to form a win. The symbols that pay out the higher value include Bob the Bird, a skull, a lightning bolt, and a severed snake head. The lower-value symbols are J, Q, K, and A.
Playing free slot games is easy. Keep pressing the spin button, and I hope luck serves a big win. Now, there are additions to what can be won, and these come from the game’s special features and bonus rounds.
Cash ’Em: Collect a prize when the cash symbols drop. These cash values are multipliers that range from x1 your bet to 1000x your bet.
Get ‘Em: Cash symbol can only be collected for the win if the symbols drop along with a Get ‘Em symbol.
Keep ‘Em: The central reels 3 and 4 are the Keep’ Em reels. Should any Free Spin symbols, Get ‘Em symbols or Cash symbols land within these special reels, then you will be awarded 3 re-spins. There will be a heart counter to indicate what spins are played and left. The symbol to prompt the respins will remain throughout the spins. During the respins, any of the special symbols that land become locked in place. Also, if you land a heart symbol, you acquire a new respins that resets the counter.
Keep ‘Em Comin’: Land 3 FS symbols and win 10 free spins in the bonus game. During the round, there are heightened chances of landing more Get ‘Em symbols, Cash symbols, and further free spins.
Keep Your Friends Close: With 4 FS symbols landing, the bonus round is triggered, and you will play with 10 free spins. With this special round, all Cash symbols remain on the reels until a Get ‘Em symbol drops.
Keep Your Canny Closer: With 5 FS symbols, you get to play 10 spins in the bonus game. This round has locked Cash symbols, but what’s best is that you are guaranteed 3 cash prizes and 1 Get ‘Em symbol with each of your 10 spins.
Buy Bonus: Pay for features to be more prominent so you can trigger bonus games. You can also pay to enter the bonus rounds at a higher cost, that is, 100 times your bet per spin or 200 times if you play the Keep Your Friends Close bonus.
I know Hacksaw Gaming can be great at making games, but there are times when they can be below expectations. I found the game in my casino and deposited my cash. Loaded the game, set my bet to $2 per spin, and played 50 spins.
Took till my fourth spin to land the respin feature. This returned a $20 win. On my eighth spin, I landed 3 FS symbols to trigger 10 free spins. This round of bonus action was insane. The respins and kept landing, and the multipliers I was accumulating made for several impressive wins. The total win from this round of play was $250.20.
What makes this game weird is the odd quietness of it. I won’t let that diminish the experience and I struck the free spins round again. This time I got a huge 52x multiplier, which led to a single win of $100. I think I’m falling in love with this game. In the end, $221.60 was won.
My 50 spins were up and I was able to walk away with $425.80. As experiences go, that was one of if not the best I have had. 10 out of 10.
The maximum that Keep ‘Em pays out is 10,000 times the bet value. If you play $100 per spin, then the jackpot will be a $1,000,000 return. The volatility is programmed to a medium setting, which is likely why I had great success. The RTP is calculated to be 96.27 percent, which is the average for a slot these days.
The verdict couldn’t be clearer. I loved the experience of this game. It was mute in its presence, but the gameplay was top-of-the-line. I highly recommend it, and if, like me, you want to play more games like this, then I recommend the following by Hacksaw Gaming: Book of Time, Drop ‘Em, and Benny the Beer.

Read Full BioKeep ‘Em was developed by Hacksaw Gaming. What a great expansion to the series that uses Canny the Can. Other games by this company that I recommend and that are different from Keep ‘Em are Cursed Seas, The Bowery Boys, and Rotten.

Yes, the Keep ‘Em slot does come with a free spins bonus feature. There are three to unlock relative to the number of FS symbols you land. Initially, you are given 10 free spins to play with. But the more FS symbols you land, the more features you are also given to help boost wins.
The Keep ‘Em slot does come with a Buy Bonus feature. What this does, is allow players to pay for increased feature chances, or to buy their way into bonus rounds. Now, this option is costly, with a standard bonus costing 100 times your bet. The larger bonus round is 200 times your bet.
The Keep ‘Em slot game was released by its developers, Hacksaw Gaming, on May 2, 2024. Around this time, they also dropped Cash Crew, Orb of Destiny, and Rust & Curly. You can also read these reviews I made and play the games in their demo mode for free.
