Kings of Crystals II Power Combo Slot

The Power Combo mechanic has been a big hit for AllForOneStudios in the past, with the studio finding moderate success with titles like Sky Raiders Power Combo and Chickenville Power Combo. This time, they’re using the mechanic to enhance one of their original slots with the Kings of Crystals II Power Combo slot. The original Kings of Crystals slot used three different bonus mechanics, so it appears to be the perfect fit for the Power Combo mechanic. Join me as I find out if that is the case in this Kings of Crystals II Power Combo slot review. 

Kings of Crystals II Power Combo does not sway too far from the design of the original Kings of Crystals slot. The game transports players into a Game of Thrones-esque great hall, where three majestic Kings rule over the reels. The setting and characters are nicely designed, with some animations helping to bring the action to life and switching things up when you trigger the bonus rounds. It is not the kind of slot design that is going to live long in the memory, but it is a solid genre offering nonetheless. 

Kings of Crystals II Power Combo uses an enhanced 5x4 game grid with 40 paylines. This can expand to 60 paylines, which I will cover later in this King of Crystals II Power Combo slot review. Winning combinations in the base game are formed when players land matching combinations of three or more across the grid. 

The basic controls for the game are found to the right of the grid. The stack of coins icon will reveal the stake options, while the autoplay feature is located under the spin symbol. There is also a little video icon that allows you to revisit the story of the three kings if you want to add a little extra narrative to your slot play. 

Like all of the Power Combo slots, the main focus in the game is on the three Power Combo features. There are three different Scatter symbols in the game: red, blue, and green. Each of them is collected above the reels whenever they land on the grid. Players should note that the collection of the Scatters in no way influences the gameplay and is sheerly for visual purposes. 

There is, however, the possibility of triggering the Free Spins bonus any time a Scatter lands. Players will be given six free spins, with the triggering Scatter determining the additional mechanic attached. The game grid will automatically expand to offer 60 spins regardless of the triggering Scatter. 

If the bonus is triggered with the Red Scatter, the number of Wild Reels is increased for the round. It is possible for Wild Reels to reach up to 15 during the round, significantly increasing the number of Wilds on the reels and boosting the winning potential. Every time an Hourglass symbol lands during this round, an additional Wild reel is added. 

If triggered with the Blue Scatter, a Win Multiplier is added and increased for the spins. This may reach up to 15x. 

The Green Scatter landing will increase the size of the Mini, Minor, or Major Jackpots. These can reach up to 35x, 70x, and 500x, respectively. They are increased in different increments throughout the round. The Grand Jackpot remains the biggest prize in the game and can not increase past 10,000x. 

To win the jackpots, you will need to land combinations of their respective Coin symbols. The size of the Jackpot is displayed to the left of the reels throughout the game. 

Like all Power Combo slots, it is possible to trigger the spins with a combination of each of the game’s bonuses. This occurs when two of the Scatters launch the round together. You can also trigger it with all three bonuses. 

Unfortunately, you can not buy your way into any of the bonus rounds in Kings of Crystals II Power Combo. 

After a brief bit of demo play, I took the Kings of Crystals II Power Combo slot for a spin for real money. I set the game to auto-spin at $2 per spin and had quite impressive results. The initial 35 spins provided very little in terms of wins, so I ended up taking just three small wins this time. 

However, I then triggered the bonus with the Green Scatter on my 42nd spin, and the results were very impressive. I quickly managed to snag the Mini jackpot, landing a 15x win before hitting a massive combo across the reels and getting a 30x win. Before the round finished, I landed another 20x win, meaning I took $130 from the round alone. Just before my 50 spins were up, I managed to hit another 14x win on the grid thanks to some Wilds, leaving me up considerably from the 50 spins. 

The Kings of Crystals II Power Combo slot has a solid math model. Its maximum win is 10,000x your stake, and its RTP is 96.2%. All For One Studios has rated the game highly volatile, which was definitely reflected in my own experiences playing it. 

If you are a fan of Power Combo slot games in top casino sites, then there is plenty to enjoy in Kings of Crystals II Power Combo. The original Kings of Crystals slot was fairly forgettable, but All For One has done a good job injecting some life into the series with this sequel. The three combos work together nicely, and there is some decent winning potential here.
