The game picks a random symbol expander in the bonus round, but it doesn’t necessarily have to be the same one in the bonus. This occurs right before the bonus spins start, which itself is triggered by four scatters in the same tumble sequence.

Players in some jurisdictions can get the bonus buy slots round by paying 100x. The price is a bit too steep, but you should consider that it’s a highly volatile slot, so the bonus chance might not come often.
