Luck Rush Express is your typical Irish-themed slot. It’s set on a green meadow with flashes of gold and familiar symbols. Harps, frothy mugs of beer, leprechaun hats and shoes, mushrooms, and golden coins populate the reels. Right above the reels, you’ll see a few golden train carts, which play a big role in the gameplay. More on that later.

Visually, the slot is as impressive as it gets. The graphics and animations are sharp, and the layout is straightforward. The soothing soundtrack and audio effects create the perfect atmosphere. Luck Rush Express is an easy slot to play. The action begins as soon as you place a bet and click on the spin button. Choose from 20c to $50 per spin – the default is $2 per spin, so you might want to adjust that immediately.

You need three or more matching symbols on one of the 20 paylines for a win. As expected, the Irish-themed symbols pay much more than the stylized card royals. Rainbow wilds can land on any reel and substitute for any symbol except the scatter and Rush Express symbols in winning combinations. Wilds also pay the top prizes.

Now for the features…most of them are related to golden coins. Those are called Rush Express symbols, and they land on reels 1-4. You’ll also see a gold clover and a gold train, which appear on reel 5. When they combine with at least one golden coin on reels 1-4, they trigger the eponymous feature.

• Activating the feature with the gold clover awards all prizes on the screen.
• The gold train collects and adds all coin values to the gold train carts above the reels.
• When triggered, all train symbols award a mini-train in different colors. These trains collect Rush Express train prizes of the corresponding color.
• The final colored train can leave a multiplier behind or award one of the four jackpots.

At the end of each base game spin, there’s a chance for a coin symbol to award the pick feature. The gameplay here is simple. Pick the coins to reveal three matching symbols for a prize.

Three or more bonus symbols trigger the Luck Rush Express slot bonus round. You receive ten free spins with no possible retriggers (which is a shame). The bonus round plays identically to the base game. The main difference is that the Rush Express feature may trigger more often.

Unfortunately, you can’t test the bonus round as there’s no bonus buy slots feature. I can honestly say the free spins round is hard to reach, so the bonus buy option is sorely missed.

Luck Rush Express was a fun slot to play. Despite the fact that I’m not that big of a fan of Irish-themed bonanzas, I found it rewarding. I played with a bet of $1 per spin, and I have to say the rewards didn’t come at once. The slot constantly collected coins in the train above the reels, and after around 15 spins, that was enough to trigger the pick feature.

I hit the Mini jackpot, which was worth 20x. It's not that big of a prize, but yes, I love the fact that I hit the jackpot. I also triggered the Rush Express feature around 50 spins in, and it paid back over 40x. The free spins round was a bit hard to reach and didn’t pay back the way I hoped for. I could have learned that much earlier with a bonus buy option, which is missing.

Luck Rush Express is a highly volatile slot with an RTP of 96.45%. The maximum projected win is 5,000x the bet for the Grand jackpot.

Luck Rush Express doesn’t reinvent the Irish slot genre, but it’s a continuation of the fine form Area Vegas has been in lately. The Rush Express feature is hard to get but fun and rewarding. A free spins bonus is there as well, although it could have been made more fun if you asked me. But, overall, the slot is decent, if a bit too volatile for my liking.
