As you would expect from a Joker-themed slot game, Mighty Symbols: Jokers has a very old-school design. The game’s grid is positioned in front of a fairly basic purple background, with the symbols on the reels consisting of coins and a selection of jokers in different positions.

The game is complemented by an upbeat, gameshow-style tune that keeps the action energetic. However, it is an acquired taste, and you might find yourself reaching for the mute button after a while.

The Mighty Symbols: Jokers slot by Wazdan does not follow a traditional gameplay pattern. No wins are available in the base game. To get a return on your investment, you must trigger the bonus rounds by landing six or more matching symbols across the reels.

While the gameplay may not be the best, the rest of the setup is pretty standard. The game has a 5x3 grid, with the control panel located directly beneath the reels. You can adjust your stake using the +/- buttons.

There is also the option to adjust the game’s volatility by clicking on the chili-style symbol. Players can also change the chance level by using the Chance Level scale on the left-hand side of the grid. This is an ante-bet style feature that increases your chances of triggering a bonus.

All of the action in Mighty Symbols: Jokers is built around triggering its different bonus rounds. Landing six Bonus symbols will trigger the Hold the Jackpot Bonus round. This is a Hold & Spin style bonus where the triggering symbols will stick to the reel.

During the round, Cash Symbols displaying between 1x and 5x your stake will land. Players get three spins, which reset every time they land on any symbol. There are also Collector Symbols, which soak up the value of all Cash symbols; Mystery Symbols, which reveal any bonus Cash symbol; and Jackpot Mystery Symbols, which can reveal one of three Jackpots.

There are four jackpots available in the game: the Mini, Minor, Major, and Grand. These are worth 10x, 20x, 50x, and 750x your stake, respectively. The smaller three can land in the round and be collected, while the Grand is paid out if you fill the game grid.

It is also possible to land Cash Infinity Symbols during the base game. These symbols will stick on the reels until the Hold the Jackpot Bonus round ends. 

If you land six or more Joker symbols, you will trigger the Joker's Rampage Bonus game. Once again, players get three respins, and the spins reset every time you land a new symbol, with the triggering symbols held in place. 

Three bonus symbols can land in the round. Mystery Joker Symbols, which reveal a Joker symbol or one of the three bonuses; Mystery Jackpot Joker symbols, which can be worth 10x, 20x, or 50x your stake; or Joker Mystery Multiplier Symbols, which reveals a multiplier of between 2x and 5x. Jokers are tallied together and paid out at the end of the round. 

Sticky to Infinity Joker Mystery symbols can land during the base game and remain on the grid until the end of the Joker’s Rampage Bonus. 

You can use the slots Buy Bonus option to buy your way into the bonus rounds. You can purchase different volatility levels of the two bonus rounds, with the most expensive option costing 300x your stake.

As a big fan of Hold & Spin style bonus-centered games, I was excited to take Mighty Symbols: Jokers for a spin. I tested the game for $1 a spin and played it at high volatility. I got lucky and triggered the Hold the Jackpot bonus after around 5 spins. While I failed to land any jackpot wins, I did take a 22x win overall, which was a nice start.

After this, I experienced a series of empty spins before hitting the same bonus around 20 spins later. Again, I failed to land any jackpots but hit an 18x win. After around 40 spins, I broke even, with the lack of base game wins, meaning there will be long spells where you are just waiting to hit the bonus rounds.

Might Symbols: Joker fails to deliver huge excitement in the winning department. The maximum win is the Grand Jackpot of 750x your stake, which is not likely to excite too many players. The game’s RTP is 96.14%, which is a positive, and the ability to choose your own volatility is definitely going to please some players. 

With Mighty Symbols: Jokers, Wazdan has attempted to combine old-school gaming themes with modern gameplay mechanics. While the result is far from a failure, it is let down by a poor winning potential.

The lack of base-game action may not be for everyone. However, I really enjoyed the two bonus rounds, and Wazdan has added some fun modifiers to keep them both interesting.

Unfortunately, a 750x maximum win massively disappoints and is difficult to overlook. This might appeal if you are looking for a fun game and do not mind the low winning potential. Otherwise, you are better off looking at similar titles with bigger wins.
