Now, let’s see how far the game has come since the original Money Cart slot machine was launched.

The first Money Cart slot was launched by Relax Gaming back in 2021 and has come in leaps and bounds since. The theme of Money Cart is steampunk meets Western. It started quite subtly with the whole stream punk theme but grew more and more with each release. But wait, what is this? Money Cart 4 looks full-on Sci-Fi. 

Yes, this game has indeed evolved in a way that very few slot series actually do. Bravo to Relax Gaming for doing something the same yet being completely different. 

The design of the game shows that this time, the common train is now de-railed and on fire. Destroyed robots are on the ground, and you can make out that this landscape is not of this earth. 

The layout of the game has evolved into a massive 8x6 grid. However, the game starts at 4x6, so clearly, some features will make the reels expand out. 

Now, it has to be said that Money Cart games do not play like your conventional slot machines. What I mean by this is that you won’t be spinning reels to match 3+ symbols to then form wins across x-paylines. 

The slot mainly comprises locked symbols (basically blank spaces). You are aiming for the game’s bonus symbols, which come with a bonus value of 1 to 10. Now, one doesn’t equal $1. The symbol values are relative to the price you spin. If you spin the reels at a cost of $1, the value of 1 equals $.10. The higher the spin cost, the more valuable the values of 1 to 10 become.

If you land three or more Bonus symbols, the game progresses to the bonus round, where things really pick up. 

Before you do play, remember to adjust the cost setting as the game defaults to $0.10 per spin. You can change this as the cost of play goes up to $60 per spin.

In the bonus round of play, Bonus symbol numbers are locked in place throughout the free spins, and when you land more Bonus symbols, your spins counter resets to prolong the experience.

It’s during this round of play that additional feature symbols can appear, and they each have a power. First, the completion of any row opens a new row. This is how the game can expand to a colossal 8x6 layout. 

Now, many other feature symbols are used in this game, and I mean many. Here is each, with a very brief description of their powers.

• The Collector: Collects all bonus values and adds them to any recurring collector symbols.
• Persistent Collector: Collects all values throughout all remaining spins.
• Adjacent Collector: Collects values that are only within an eight-symbol adjacent radius.
• Persistent Adjacent Collector: Collects values within an eight-symbol radius and throughout all remaining spins. 
• Payer: Acts as a multiplier that shoots at all bonus symbols to increase their value. 
• Persistent Payer: Values are added to bonus symbols throughout all remaining spins.
• Persistent Adjacent Payer: Add value to adjacent bonus symbols throughout all remaining spins.
• Sniper: This doubles the value of between three and eight symbols and can be retriggered multiple times. 
• Persistent Sniper: Double symbol values between three to eight symbols throughout all the remaining spins.
• Collector Payer: Three to five symbols are targeted, and values are added together.
• Persistent Collector Payer: Three to five symbols are targeted, and values are added throughout the remaining spins.
• Arms Dealer: Can change one to four symbols into a feature symbol.
• Persistent Arms Dealer: The conversion of symbols continues throughout all remaining spins. 
• Necromancer: This feature symbol can resurrect between two and seven used but non-persistent features. This can be triggered multiple times. 
• Persistent Necromancer: The resurrection of one to seven non-persistent features throughout the rest of the spins. 
• Persistent Shapeshifter: Changes into one of the following feature symbols after each remaining spin: Collector, Payer, Collector Payer, Sniper, Arms Dealer, and Unlocker.
• Unlocker: Unlock any locked row.
• Reset Plus: Increases spins remaining by a factor of one.
• Upgrader: One to three feature symbols get upgraded to become persistent feature versions.

Money Cart was a bit of a groundbreaking game when it launched, and though only three years have passed since its release, it now looks dated compared to the new fourth installment. Money Cart 4 comes with this Armageddon feel around it. It feels so far removed from the original, but because of the feature symbols, it brings the gaming back home, so to speak. 

I was both intrigued and hesitant when I saw the game. Not many series actually evolve, and with this fourth game, I think it has hit the proverbial ball out of the park. 

I started the game by selecting $2 per spin. And I set the autoplay to 50 spins. I struck bonus on my 20th spin and landed the Collector symbol and Persistent Payer. In the end, my total win in this round was $8.40. That is not great, considering. But $2 spins only make the value of 1 become $0.20. 

The maximum amount you can potentially win is 15,000 times the value of your wager per spin. If spinning the reels at $60 a go, then the max return is $900,000. This makes it the most valuable Money Cart game in the series so far. This game also comes with a high volatility setting, just like the other games in the series. The RTP score for Money Cart 4 is 96%, the same as Money Cart 3 but a drop from Money Cart 2 and the original Money Cart.

If you are new to the Money Cart series, you don’t need to play the previous games to know what this new one is about. It comes with the same general themes but has gone off in a new direction and stands alone as its own game. 

I think this new one is the best of the four games in the series. For some reason, I get Terminator vibes from it, so definitely check top casino sites for Terminator 2 by Microgaming.
