The bonus game begins when you land five or more golden coins. The only symbols appearing on the grid during the bonus are coins and blanks. Any rewards from the Loaded Reel are active as well. Each coin resets the respins tally back to three, and they turn sticky on the reels.

This Hold & Win bonus starts with the usual three respins. A new loaded reel is activated on each spin. You should cross your fingers to land the colossal coins, which offer much better wins across the board.

I loved every minute I spent with Pixel Paws. The slot offers loaded action across the big board, which is boosted by the Loaded Reel. From multipliers to extra spins and low-pay upgrades, this reel kept me on my toes during my session. 

I started my journey with bets of $1, and I can say that the volatility is a bit higher than the stated medium. It took just seven spins for a low-pay upgrade and a three-win cascade combo that paid 14x. The wild landed often and contributed to some decent hits – it was much more frequent than the Loaded Reel rewards.

I paid the 60x for the Hold & Win bonus as reaching it wasn’t easy. It paid back 85x after around 15 respins, so the investment was worth it. You can pay higher amounts for more triggering coins and a larger grid, which offers better rewards.

Pixel Paws has an RTP of 96% which is OK for a slot with so many features. You can win a maximum of 20,000x the bet with a bit of luck.

Pixel Paws is a fun and rewarding slot that dog lovers will certainly appreciate. To be bold, it may be the best pup-themed slot out there, but time will tell. Thanks to the Loaded Reel and the other features, it turns a Hold & Win experience into something different, and the pixelated graphics are a big plus that you can’t ignore.
