Blueprint Gaming is no stranger when it comes to making a splash in the genre of fishing slots. Their new game, Plenty O’ Fish, follows in the success of games like Fishin’ Frenzy, Crabbin’ for Cash, and Big Catch, all of which have spawned their own range of sequels. So, why another, why Plenty O’ Fish? Well, it’s rather simple. Players like you, maybe not you specifically, just can’t get enough of the idea of holding their rod, playing with their tackle, and looking to get all excited with a slot that may or may not gush out fortunes. Personally, I don’t see the appeal.
But will I? In this slot review, I discuss all the programming that comes with the software. I assess the in-play features and see how beneficial the bonus rounds are. And I share my experience of the game, which I play from the free demo. You can also experience this, as the free-to-play demo is embedded into this review. You can play the mobile slot on any device, all without downloads and registration.
Plenty O’ Fish falls into the animal gaming category, one that is hugely popular after some bizarre rise in development since 2014. And it was Blueprint Gaming who started it all with Fishin’ Frenzy.
Plenty O’ Fish comes with the same sort of design, with the game half showing the top of the water and half showing what lies beneath it. The slot is mostly submerged in the lake, and you have schools of fish going back and forth behind it.
The slot comes with a large 4x6 layout and 4,096 Ways to Win. So, no paylines. You will also instantly see that the game comes with four jackpot prizes. Major, Mega, Mini, and Minor.
The gameplay doesn’t really offer anything new.
You might be thinking about the fact the slot comes with no paylines, so how are you able to win? The Ways to Win feature is simply about getting the same symbols across adjacent reels without there being a reel without one between them.
With the high-prized symbols, you only need to match two of the symbols next to each other on adjacent reels. With the lower-valued symbols, you need to match 3 symbols. But before playing, you will need to set the pricing for how much you will be betting per spin.
Select the coin icon, and you will see the wagering starts at $0.10 and continues up to $10 per spin. Once set, you begin playing by pressing the spin button that’s to the right of the reels. There are alternative options like fast play and auto spins.
That’s it. Once you press the spin button, everything else is automated. You just have to count on your luck being in. There are, of course, special in-play features and bonuses that are part of this game that enhance the experience of play and boost the potential to win.
The slot’s Wild symbol appears on all reels, apart from reel 1. The Wild is like a Joker and can be used to substitute any symbol except bonus, cash, and jackpot symbols.
The Bonus symbol unlocks the Free Spins Bonus round. You will need to land three or more of these symbols to activate the round, and the number of Bonus symbols landed determines how many spins you’re awarded.
Plenty O’ Fish also comes with a Cash Collect feature, which is very common with fish-themed slots. You will find that symbols carry varying values on them. These amounts will be collected if you are also able to land the Cash Collect symbol at the same time. This symbol is the Leprechaun fisherman, which only appears on reels 1 and 6.
The Plenty O’ Fish game comes with a Plenty O’ Fish treasure chest, and what this does is collect all the gold coins that appear in the game. The coins accumulate and can trigger the release of special bonuses. You can land free spins, cash-collect upgrades, respins, and jackpot prizes.
When it comes to the jackpots, the amounts paid out increase the higher you set your wager cost.
The Mega Jackpot is 2,500x your wager. Major is 250x your wager. The Minor Jackpot is 25x your bet, while the Mini Jackpot is 15x your bet. However, the jackpot prizes do not pay the largest amount that you can win.
I’m a fan of Blueprint Gaming software and believe they are one of the top 5 developers in the business. However, I am not a fan of any fish-themed game. Simply because they all come with the same look and features.
Nevertheless, I played Plenty O’ Fish as a demo game with free coins. I set the steak price to $2 per spin and played a round of 100 spins. The gameplay doesn’t really offer anything new. When there is a chance to land the Cash Collect values, the game does this slow zoom-in on the last reel to see if the Collect symbol lands.
During play, I did manage to land several Cash Collect features, and on my 48th spin, I landed the Respin feature from the Plenty O’ Fish treasure chest. It didn’t do much, as nothing was happening on my remaining spins. After the 100 spins, I was more than $100 down on the balance I started with.
The maximum you can win is capped at $250,000, which will require you to play at $10 per spin.
The volatility to which Plenty O’ Fish is programmed is medium/high. This means that you will find the performance to be balanced at times, with periods of play void of any action and wins. The Return to Player rating of Plenty O’ Fish comes in at an average rating of 94%.
Plenty O’ Fish doesn’t really offer anything new to the market, and I am seeing this more and more, with games being repackaged and series expanding into nothingness. I am 100% confident that Plenty O’ Fish will spawn its own series. In fact, there is a Plenty O’ Fish Jackpot King version that is tied to the Jackpot King Progressive Jackpot series.
There is a market out there for this game. And if you like things that are fishy and come with elements of Irishness to them, then Plenty O’ Fish is going to provide you with Plenty O’ Fun.

Read Full BioPlenty O’ Fish was developed by Blueprint Gaming and is another fish-themed game in their extensive portfolio. For me, this is nowhere near their best work, and I would advise playing these alternative slots of theirs. The official slot for The Goonies, Genie Jackpots: Big Spin Frenzy, and the official slot for Rick and Morty: Wubba Lubba Dub Dub.

Plenty O’ Fish was released by Blueprint Gaming on March 12, 2024. This game follows the previous releases of Midas: King of Gold, Anubis Rising, and Madame of Mystic Manor. I’m sure the best of Blueprint is still to come this year, so keep an eye out for all new releases dropping into your new online casino.
The game does come with free spins, and depending on how many bonus symbols you land to trigger the bonus round, it determines how many free spins you are gifted. Three symbols = ten spins. Four symbols = 15 spins. Five symbols = 20 spins. Six symbols = 25 spins.
The RTP rating comes in at 94%, which is about 2 percent lower than average. This score is nothing more than a theoretical payback rating, which the developer calculates on metrics involving how many spins you play and how much money you have deposited into the game.
