Farm-themed video slots are usually a love-it-or-leave-it affair. Some are simply too cartoonish and childish; others don’t look past the rabbit, making a farmer angry theme. Then there are developers such as JustForTheWin that try to make things different with releases such as Rabbit Fields.
It’s not hard to guess that this is a farm-themed slot. It stars a bunny rabbit who munches on carrots but in peace, as the farmer is never around. He can have fun with the mighty carrots by munching on them and sitting on a pile of gold jackpots. Despite the gold farm jackpots, the highly volatile slot has a 5x4 setup and plenty of features.
It looks really stylish and uses some of JFTW’s and Games Global’s best mechanics. Rabbit Fields does not lack any features, too, so if you’re in for a fun day at the farm, check out the full in-depth review below.
JustForTheWin’s slots always look great, and this one continues the tradition. The fat rabbit looks cool and hilarious at the same time, and I love the animations and overall art style of the slot. In layout terms, there’s nothing to confuse you. The 5x4 reel set is placed on a farm, with serene blue skies in the background that will hopefully remind you to go out and appreciate nature more.
As usual for farm-themed slots, the reels are framed in wooden bars. There are tiny carrot meters above each reel; I’ll discuss more later. The symbols include shiny diamonds, carrots, radishes, tomatoes, and golden wilds. A bonus scatter shows a field of carrots, and there are also horseshoes to complete the farm picture.
Last but not least, the cheerful soundtrack and top-notch sound effects create the perfect atmosphere. In my experience, it’s a great slot from an audio-visual perspective, but what I was more impressed with were the features.
While most players swear in bonus rounds, I had the best fun with the wild carrot feature.
To start playing Rabbit Fields, you will need to place a bet first. Choose from 20c to $50 per spin and hit the spin button to start. If you don’t want to click your mouse button or hit the space bar all the time, the autoplay feature can help.
Line wins in Rabbit Fields go from left to right. You need three or more matching symbols on one of the 50 paylines. Multiple wins can be awarded on the same spin, and wild symbols can link wins together and improve them. They substitute for all symbols except free spins, super free spins, and carrot signs.
The carrot signs are where those tiny carrot meters come into play. Each carrot sign fills it up, and once you get to 3, you activate the carrot wilds on that reel. This feature adds sticky carrot wilds to the top position, which then drops down one position until it reaches the bottom of the reel.
From time to time, you may see golden carrot tokens land on the reels. Each one has a random chance to trigger the bonus game. This is how you win the jackpot pile the rabbit is sitting on. You’re presented with golden carrots buried in the ground and have three picks. If you reveal three matching prizes, you win the corresponding prize or jackpot. The bonus game ends when you’re out of picks.
The free spins symbol triggers the eponymous bonus round. You need 3 of these to land indefinite bonus spins. Yes, I was surprised just as much as you. Apparently, the bonus round will keep going as long as there are carrot wilds on the screen. Each one triggers a special feature, and the wilds will slide down the grid. Carrot wilds can only land on feature reels without active wilds. There’s a growing multiplier, too, which goes up by +1 on each spin.
There’s a super free spins bonus round, too, which is triggered differently. In the base game, landing two free spins symbols adds 1 point to the super free spins upgrade meter. The upgrade occurs for 20 collected points. It comes into effect when you trigger the bonus round with three scatters. In the super bonus round, the multiplier starts at x5. Carrot wilds are active on reels 2 and 4 from the top reel position, and new ones can also land more often.
I’ve had loads of fun with the Rabbit Fields slot while playing it for real money. While most players swear in bonus rounds, I had the best fun with the wild carrot feature. It triggers way more often than you think and is the core feature in all stages of the game, so it obviously delivers the best possible wins.
I didn’t have luck with the jackpots, although I did trigger the bonus pick game once. I won a cool 50x, which was OK. I was disappointed there was no bonus buy slots feature, but it is what it is – not that big of a dealbreaker.
The Rabbit Fields slot RTP is set to 96.13%. It’s solid for a highly volatile slot. The maximum projected win is 5,000x the bet.
Rabbit Fields is a farm-themed slot with rabbits and carrots that does things a bit differently than the rest. It has a jackpot and a bonus spin round in addition to a fun sticky wild feature. This one’s active in all stages and is the key to unlocking the big wins. The jackpot bonus minigame can deliver pretty decent hits if you’re lucky, and so can the bonus round, even if I didn’t have luck with it.
You’ll find it in Fat Rabbit by Push Gaming if you're looking for more farm-themed top casino action. ELK Studios’ Rabbit Royale is fun as well. If you truly want to go down the rabbit hole of madness, try NoLimit City’s Roadkill, but watch out for the gore.

The Rabbit Fields slot was released on March 26, 2024.
Yes, it does. The bonus spins round is triggered by three scatters and offers indefinite free spins. Wild sticky carrots are active on all spins, and the bonus ends when there are no more of these carrots on the reels. They only land on reels without carrots, though.
The RTP is set to 96.13%, which is a tad higher than the average for highly volatile slot games. And that’s perfectly fine for me. The slot’s special features lessen the highly volatile blow, and the RTP is positioned in the best possible way.
