I’m not a sushi fan, so this game already has zero appeal to me. I’ve tried it, and it failed to pass the test, so I stick with my conviction that fish-based snacks must be cooked. Now, it’s clear by the title that nothing is cooking in this game, but will it satisfy your appetite for gaming? Now that I’ve made my position clear and to help you learn more about what Running Sushi by Pragmatic Play is all about, I take on the task of playing the slot for real money.
You’ll be offered a slice of detail on all areas of gaming and software. This slot review will cover design, programming (RTP and volatility), bonus features, rules of play, and full details of my experience playing the game first-hand.
You, too, can get your hands on the game, and for free. The official demo for this slot is embedded into this review, which can be played without restriction and on any mobile device or laptop. Furthermore, if you want to play Running Sushi for real money and for free, then look out for new player welcome bonuses within the online casino reviews made by Casinos.com.
The setting of the Running Sushi slot is the interior of a Japanese restaurant. The design is lovingly detailed. The slot is designed within a mount that has a lantern on either side and comes with 4 rows and 5 reels. The slot also comes with 1,024 ways to win. Along the bottom of the game, you have a sushi conveyor belt that holds multipliers under each of the reels. This is called the Take Sushi feature. To the left of the reels, you have the slot’s Ante Bet feature and Bonus Buy feature.
There is very little to this game that appeals to me or even makes sense to me as to why it would be made. This slot is similar to other Pragmatic Play titles, but the game just comes with a different skin. An old hack and a very lazy way of producing another slot game.
Play the Running Sushi slot online from a licensed and regulated casino site. One that you can find reviewed by Casinos.com. Load the game and set your bet, which is paid per spin. The – and + buttons next to the spin button will open up the pricing options. The lowest you can bet is $0.20, and the highest is $240 ($300 with Ante Bet). Set your bet to an expendable budget, but remember to never go beyond what you realistically can’t afford to lose.
When ready, press the spin button to begin the game. The reels will begin to rotate, and you’ll be hoping to land 3 or more of the same symbols to produce a win. Winning symbols must align across adjacent reels. The top symbols are the two sauces, then the prawn, salmon, rice balls, and then avocado. The symbols that pay out the least are the wooden spade, heart, club, and diamond.
This is playing Running Sushi in a nutshell. You spin the reels and hope the big symbols land, and you repeat. Always end when the gaming stops being fun. Do not chase losses, and cash out when you land a big, big win.
The features and bonuses found when playing Running Sushi.
Take Sushi Feature: Each spin played produces a new money symbol that features on a conveyor belt below the slots. These are multiplier values and run from x1 to x1000. During the free spins bonus, it can be up to 2500x. To win the award, you also need to land the Take Sushi symbol, which appears on the 1st, 3rd, and 5th reels. Landing all 3 scoops, all the multiplier values on the belt.
Free Spins: Land 3 scatter bonus symbols to unlock this main feature. In return, you will be awarded 10 free spins. The round of play comes with a Take All symbol which helps you recoup all the money symbols on the conveyor belt. The Take All symbol will appear on the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th reels. Landing all 3 will return all the multiplier values.
Bonus Buy: Buy access to the free spin bonus round for a cost that is worth 85 times the value of your bet.
Ante Bet: Increase your bet by 25% and this will increase the chances of landing a feature by a factor of 2.
The lack of features coming out of the Pragmatic Play slot recently hasn’t left me surprised anymore. There is very little to this game that appeals to me or even makes sense to me as to why it would be made. This slot is similar to other Pragmatic Play titles, but the game just comes with a different skin. An old hack and a very lazy way of producing another slot game.
I loaded Running Sushi up with my bets set at $1 per spin, and I played 50 spins set on autoplay mode. The first spin wins me $8, which is a great start. It becomes even better with the fourth spin landing the bonus round. With 10 free spins played, I managed to win a total of $43.90. Normally I would cash out, but I want to see where this game goes.
Having played more spins, it becomes evident that I’m not going to win more. I make a $7 win, but with 11 spins left, I stop the game to break even and not take the risk of going into the red.
The RTP for Running Sushi comes in at 96 percent. The volatility setting is programmed to the highest level. The maximum you can win is 3,000 times the bet value. If betting at $300 per spin, the jackpot will be $900,000!
The Running Sushi slot is a game that has been made a hundred times over by Pragmatic Play, it just so happens to be dressed up in a new design. Whilst I won relatively big in the free spins game, very little happened after which is indicative of high volatility games. None of the Take All or Take Sushi features landed, so it would have been very dull if the bonus hadn't dropped.
It was not great, but then I knew from the start that Running Sushi wouldn’t be a dish I’d take pleasure in playing. If you want good slots to feast on, then I recommend these options:
Gluttony by Nolimit City
Fred’s Food Truck by Hacksaw Gaming
Red Hot BBQ by Red Tiger Gaming
