The software developer Quickspin is transporting us all back to the mystical and relaxing realms of Asia. It’s cheaper than flying, and there are no dodgy massage parlors on this journey. Temple of Paw is the destination, and without making this review sound like some weird holiday brochure, it certainly does set the mood for players who wish to be whisked away.
Okay, that was an awful introduction. Let’s get down to why we are all really here. Why are there no slot games based on seedy massage parlors? Just kidding. For this review of Temple of Paw, I shall play the game for real money. I will then likely fail to win and, in a fit of anger, give this game an awful verdict. Before that, I will go through the design, software settings, and bonus features of the game.
The demo is also provided to you, the dear reader. This is 100% free to play. Should you enjoy its offerings, then Casinos.com can help guide you to the reviews of the best casinos that supply this slot as a real money game.
The Temple of Paw slot is very simply designed. Rich in green color and hues for most of its symbols and its setting. It’s a classic Asian slot with string melodies providing uplifting and relaxing rhythms in equal measure. The slot plays on a 5-reel, 3-row layout, with the backdrop of giant white cat monuments and a river. There are 20 paylines to this game, which pays left to right and the highest payline pays out.
There is a market for games like this, but for me, it’s just very basic when it comes to design, features, and opportunities.
You’ll find Quickspin slots in a great number of casinos online. Once located in your current or new casino, load the game and begin by setting the betting amount that you pay per spin. The cost of play starts at $0.20 and climbs through various amounts that you can select, up to the max bet of $100 per spin. Use either the coin icon or the + and – buttons to set the price per spin.
When you have set your bet, begin playing by pressing the spin button or the autospin button. To win while playing Temple of Paw, you must land three, four, or five matching symbols across any one of the twenty paylines in the game. The patterns of these can be found in the paytable inside the menu tab. The symbols that return the most are the wild, coin purse, three coins, red envelope, and good luck knots. The lower symbols come as a club, spade, heart, and diamond.
The rules of play just require you to keep pressing that spin button. Now, play either ends when you have got bored, run out of money, or won big enough that you don’t need to carry on.
Quickspin has made a game here that holds very little appeal to me. Just a personal expression. There is a market for games like this, but for me, it’s just very basic when it comes to design, features, and opportunities.
I loaded the game with a $100 deposit and set my bet to $2 so that I could play 50 spins.
What the instructions of the game failed to mention is that Temple of Paw uses the Tumbler feature. This means that winning symbols vanish from view and are replaced with new ones that drop into the game. This prolongs the game time and can produce consecutive wins with each new set of symbols added to the reels.
With half my spins played, I have so far landed about five wins, and each has come with a x2 multiplier. However, all returns have remained lower than my initial bet, so I’m failing miserably. With all 50 spins played, I’m happy to forget about this game and play something else.
The RTP is 96.01%, and the volatility comes with a high setting. Possibly why I didn’t make any gains. The max payout is capped at 7,333 times the player’s bet. This means that at a bet of $100 per spin, the jackpot would be $733,300.
The Temple of Paw slot by Quickspin isn’t great. With a capped max win of $733,300 and with a high volatility setting, it’s not really a casino game of any worth. There are far better real money slots that will give you more bang for your buck.
To give you more entertainment and a greater return, I would focus your attention on these alternative Asian-themed casino games.
Enjoy these games in their free demo mode, or play them all for real money payouts inside the top casinos that are reviewed by Casinos.com.

Quickspin has been developing casino games for a very long time. As such, there are many casinos online that host their software. The Temple of Paw slot was released by Quickspin on June 11, 2024. Around this time, Quickspin released a multitude of casino games that you can read about in the following reviews: Shields of Lambda, Cash Truck 3: Turbo, and Brawlers Bar: Cash Collect, which is Quickspin’s best game this year so far.
The game does come with a special bonus round. If you land three scatter symbols, you will get seven free spins. Four symbols get you ten spins. Five symbols reward 15 spins, and all six scatter symbols award 22 free spins. Before the bonus game is played, there is an option to gamble your spins to possibly win more.
The Temple of Paw slot game does come with a Bonus Buy feature. You can buy your way into the bonus round, which comes at a cost that is 100 times the value of the bet you’re paying per spin. It’s expensive, but you may be paying this cost in the base game before you hit the bonus anyway.
