As far as the theme goes, you can guess what the game is about straight from the title. The background depicts a typical vampire den, but this one is decorated with party lights and disco balls, complete with party-themed symbols like cocktails, music records, and fancy-dressed bats and vampires.

Vampy Party has an unusual layout consisting of six reels in a 3-4-5-5-4-3 formation. There are four low-tier symbols (J, Q, K, and A) and four high-tiered ones (cocktail, record, bat, and vampire), alongside a wild and a scatter.

There are no specific paylines, as matching symbols simply need to find themselves on three or more adjacent reels to trigger a win, starting from the leftmost reel. The game’s layout makes for 3,600 ways to win.

Vampy Party features a typical Pragmatic Play interface with a control panel at the bottom of the screen. The spin button is on the right, with +/- buttons on each side.

You can choose between ten bet levels and set the coin size between 0.01 and 1.20. The bet multiplier is 20x, meaning that the minimum bet is $0.20 and the maximum is $240. The autoplay feature lets you set between 10 and 1,000 hands-free spins, complete with options for quick spin, turbo spin, and skip screens.

The game also has two additional betting options that provide quicker access to the free spins game. Namely, for a 40% higher bet, you can double the chance of scatters or simply buy the free spins feature for a portion of your balance.

Vampy Party has several game features, so let’s break them down:

• Tumbling reels: This mechanism makes winning symbols disappear from the grid, and new ones fall into their place. Tumbling continues until there are no new winning combinations.
• Tumbling multipliers: With every new tumble, the multiplier applied to the win will double. It starts from 1x and can reach up to 1,024x.
• Marked symbols: Every spin will contain several marked symbols on reels 3 and 4. If these symbols become a part of a winning combination, they will leave a wild symbol in their place.

Once you hit three or more scatters, you will win 12 free bonus spins, with the exact number of scatters determining the value of the starting tumbling multiplier. Namely, 3, 4, 5, or 6 scatters generate a starting tumbling multiplier of 8x, 16x, 32x, or 64x, respectively.

Before the round starts, you can opt to gamble for a chance at doubling the applied multiplier. For example, if you’ve won 12 free spins with an 8x multiplier, you can spin the wheel for a chance at a 16x multiplier. The chance to win is approximately 50%, but if you lose, your free spins will be lost, and you will get back to the base game.

As mentioned, you can purchase the free spins round without waiting for the scatters. The purchasing options include:

• 3x scatter for 78x the bet.
• 4x scatter for 150x the bet.
• 5x scatter for 288x the bet.
• A random number of scatters for 128x the bet.

I played the Vampy Party slot for nearly an hour and got fairly lucky. I started with a $100 balance and staked $2 per spin. The game has a fairly high hit frequency, so I was basically winning on every other spin, but the wins were pretty insignificant, and I was slowly losing money. 

However, after a while, I experienced the benefit of the tumbling multipliers. I hit several consecutive tumbling wins, and the last one had an applied multiplier of 16x. I won $58 from that spin alone and boosted my balance to around $140. The next few dozen spins were uneventful, and I dropped back down to around $120, at which point I decided to put an ante bet for an increased chance at scatters, as I was not getting lucky with triggering the free spins round (and buying the round was a tad bit expensive).

I dipped below my starting balance quickly, but I managed to hit the three scatters pretty soon after that. I decided not to gamble and settle for my 8x starting multiplier. The round went pretty well, and I managed to bank in $132, bringing my total to just above $200, more than double what I started at. This is when I decided to call it quits and withdraw my payout.

Vampy Party has a 96% RTP on the dot, including when you buy the free spins round. The high volatility makes the game offer large payouts, but not so often. The maximum payout is 5,000x.

I liked my time with the Vampy Party slot, and I even got a nice payday out of it. The game has it all – nice aesthetics, cool and innovative features, and good win potential. 

The raising multipliers that double on every tumble make every base game spin potentially very rewarding, and this only increases during the free spins round. The game also features great visuals and animations and generally has a good flow, all while letting you control the pace of play through quick and turbo spin options. I consider the gamble feature before the free spins round to be a classic pitfall, so try raising the scatter chance with an ante bet instead.
