Odds On Who Will Guest Star At Rihanna's 2025 London Residency

London is in for a treat this year, because Riahnna looks set to perform her first run of gigs in nearly a decade in the capital city. 

The pop megastar last hit the road for multiple shows in 2016 while touring her eighth studio album Anti. While she is yet to drop a studio album since then, there are murmurings the Umbrella hitmaker might head to London this summer. 

According to the Daily Telegraph newspaper, Rihanna is planning a residency of up to six shows at the London Stadium - the former Olympic Stadium, which is now home to Premier League side West Ham United - in "early July". 

A well-placed live music source has told the publication that Rihanna's potential residency could open on July 4th, followed by a July 5th gig, and she could also perform at the stadium on July 8, 9, 11 and 12.

What's more, a second concert industry source claimed to the publication that Rihanna's show promoters are "holding" London Stadium, and a source also told the Telegraph that these potential London shows will be Rihanna's "only stadium shows anywhere in the world this year". 

Rihanna's Brit Duets 

News of Rihanna's potential London residency could be music to the ears of a host of British acts keen to share the stage with her. 

Coldplay are the early 11/8 favourites to guest star at Rihanna's run of gigs, while heavy metal outfit Iron Maiden are 12/1 outsiders. 

The Fear of the Dark hitmaker's founding member, bassist Steve Harris, is a huge West Ham fan, so he may be keen to take to the London Stadium stage with the pop megastar. 

However, a more likely collaboration could see former Little Mix star Jade perform with Rihanna this summer. 

Fresh from winning the Pop Act award at this year's BRITs, Jade is just 2/1 to collaborate on stage with Ri-Ri, while fellow Brits Dua Lipa (4/1) and Stormzy (5/1) could also be in contention. 

Other British acts who could land a guest star spot include Sir Rod Stewart, who will be playing the Legends slot at this year's Glastonbury in late June. 

Rihanna has also been linked to a headline performance at this year's Glasto, just days before her potential London residency, but if that doesn't materialise then perhaps she could share the London Stadium stage with one of this year's Worthy Farm performers instead. 

Rod is 11/4 to guest star at Rihanna's residency, followed by her longtime collaborator Calvin Harris (3/1). 

Please Please Please, Rihanna 

Rihanna is no stranger to the English capital city, having lived in London from 2018 to 2020. 

If she does open a London residency on July 4th, it will coincide with Oasis kicking off their long-awaited reunion tour in Welsh capital city Cardiff. 

Elsewhere in London, Lana Del Rey is due to perform at Wembley Stadium, and Sabrina Carpenter is to play Hyde Park that same weekend. 

While she may not feature on Rihanna's opening couple of nights - could Sabrina pop over to the London Stadium at a later date? 

It's 6/4 for the Please Please Please hitmaker to guest star on Rihanna's residency. 

It's not yet known if Rihanna's boyfriend A$AP Rocky will be in attendance or at home looking after their two children, RZA and Riot. 

However, if Rocky is allowed out then the 5/2 on him to perform with his significant other in London could look big come July. 

Others in contention may include some of Rihanna's top collaborators. 

Jay-Z has been a mentor to the star over the years, and he could still be in London a month after his wife Beyonce performs six dates at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. 

It's 6/1 for the 99 Problems rapper to guest star at Rihanna's residency, while Eminem - who has collaborated with Diamonds hitmaker on tracks Love the Way You Lie, The Monster, and Time - is 8/1, and Drake is a 10/1 outsider.

It looks likely that Rihanna will play at least six shows at her rumoured residency. 

A residency tends to be defined as 10 or more shows, but there doesn't seem to be any strict rules about the terminology. 

However, one show is clearly just a gig and Rihanna is a massive 10/1 just to play one London-based show this year. 

She is heavily rumoured to be performing six shows, and if that comes to fruition and sales go well it wouldn't be a huge surprise to see further gigs added. 

It's just 1/2 that the rumours are true and Rihanna performs six or more gigs at the London Stadium this summer, while it's Evens for there to be five gigs.
