It’s Official: This Is the Best Casino Beer in America

There’s bad news, everyone! Beer consumption in America is on a downward spiral. Way back in 1981, the average American aged 21+ drank about 36.7 gallons of beer every year; nowadays it’s just 26.5 gallons. That equates to about 603 standard drinks in a year.

If Las Vegas casinos are anything to go by, we can tell you one reason that may be: beer at casinos is expensive. One of our Casinos.com writers is still recovering financially from paying $15 for a bottle of Stella in the Chandelier Bar at the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas back in 2023.

Of course, not every casino in the US is as pricey as those in Vegas, but the point stands: don’t waste your cash and your thirst on a bad beer!

To help you on your mission to find the best beer at any casino in the US (and ultimately, drink more beer), we’ve put together a full ranking. We went down a rabbit hole, looking for mentions of certain phrases like “best beer,” “tasty beer,” and “refreshing beer.”

So whether you’re willing to splurge and have a beer overlooking the Vegas skyline, or you want to keep things cheap and cheerful and opt for a pint of Bud Light at a happy hour inside a casino in Connecticut, we’ve laid out the best casinos for a beer.

So, is the best beer to be found in a fancy Las Vegas casino like the Bellagio? Or maybe it’s somewhere in Atlantic City? No. In fact, according to our list, the best beer at a US casino can be found at none other than Red Rock Casino Resort & Spa. And although technically it’s in Vegas, it’s nowhere near the Strip.

Red Rock Casino is actually located in Summerlin, which is about 12 miles from the main part of Vegas. Red Rock received a rating of 4.54% on our scale, based on 223 mentions of our beer-related keywords.

Best beer” came up 21 times, and “great beer” was mentioned an impressive 63 times across the reviews. One visitor complimented the sportsbook, saying, “The very large screen TVs create a great environment to take in any sports event and their game day prices on a bucket of beer and appetizers are as cheap as you can find.”

And although another mentioned that $10 beers at the pool were pretty pricey, we have to disagree. That’s practically free for Vegas.

In second place was Chukchansi Gold Resort & Casino in Coarsegold, California. This one received a rating of 3.82%, but it’s worth noting that there were only 628 reviews and 24 keyword mentions. This property was voted best local casino in 2024 and promises good vibes that never end, so we would hope the beer would be half decent!

The Tripadvisor reviews were pretty good, with one in particular saying, “The casino was wonderful, the buffet had a wide array of food, it was scrumptious and it had something for everyone. A free beer or wine too with your meal!” Someone also mentioned $3 beers at happy hour, but that review was from 2018, so we can’t confirm or deny that it still exists. If you find out, let us know.

In third place, we have another Las Vegas casino: the Linq. Located right at the center of the Strip, this one is in a great location for heading to any of the nearby bars in hotels like the Flamingo, but it’s quite impressive to see that the Linq got a rating of 3.64% on our scale by itself. 53 reviews even mentioned the words “best beer,” while a huge 211 referred to “great beer.”

Many of the reviews suggested that you might enjoy heading to O’Shea’s Irish pub nearby to play some beer pong. But come on, if you’re at O’Shea’s, you’ll want a frozen Bailey’s rather than a boring old beer.

Tropicana Atlantic City placed fourth on our list, with 241 keyword mentions and a total rating of 3.59% on the scale. “Great beer” was the most common word used here, coming up 45 times, while “good beer” got 34 mentions in the reviews.

The Tropicana has nightlife, shopping, pools, entertainment, and, of course a casino to keep you entertained. The casino itself boasts 1,600 slots, plus a selection of table games and a sportsbook. And with 21 restaurants, you’re guaranteed to find a great beer.

According to one review, “Firewaters is a great small bar with a huge selection of beer,” while another commented that $2 beers are available at the casino bar during happy hour.

As an honorable mention, we’ll tell you which casino had the absolute highest number of keyword mentions. But before that, here's our finale ranking:

Perhaps unsurprisingly, seeing it has over 39,000 reviews in total, the Paris Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas got over 870 mentions of one of our beer-related keywords. The rating here was just 2.24%, though, and Paris came in at an unimpressive 15th place on our list.

From the Eiffel Tower Restaurant to Gordon Ramsay’s Steak to the more cocktail-focused Vanderpump, we’d expect lots of pretty good drinks at Paris, and beer should be no exception. One review summed things up pretty well, saying, “Yes, prices are expensive.” One reviewer expressed surprise at the high prices, noting that a beer costs $15, a wine costs $18, and a cocktail costs more than $20. It's Vegas.”

Okay, so where should you avoid if you’re looking for a good beer? We were pretty shocked to see that nine casinos from our list scored less than 1%! We’d rate all of those as pretty bad.

Right at the bottom was Riverwind Casino, which is located in Norman, Oklahoma. This casino only had one single mention of one of our keywords, resulting in an absolutely abysmal rating of just 0.16%

Despite the fact that it’s in Oklahoma, the casino actually looks pretty cool. It’s open 24/7 and there’s a good mix of slot machines and table games like poker and blackjack. The casino also promises several bars and lounges, cafes, and casual dining options. But where did it all go so wrong?

It’s hard to tell, as no one really mentioned beer in their reviews at all. So, maybe they just don’t drink beer in Oklahoma? Guess we’ll never know.

Second from the bottom of the list is none other than the Bellagio in Las Vegas. There’s absolutely no excuse for this. Surely between Lago, Spago, and whatever other restaurants they have in the Bellagio, there has to be a decent place to drink a plain and simple beer?

Only 54 reviews out of more than 13,000 mentioned any of our keywords, so the rating here came out to 0.40%. “$55 bucket beers at the pool were ridiculous!” said one reviewer. Yeah, that $15 Stella doesn’t sound so bad now, does it? Another review complained about the prices of the minibar, while another still said that they waited 45 minutes to even get a beer.

Rounding out the bottom three was Thunder Valley Casino Resort in Lincoln, California. It fared almost as badly as the Bellagio, receiving just 0.41% on our scale and a very sad seven keyword mentions.

One person actually mentioned the “beer selection,” while another two managed to say the casino had “great beer.” One review complained that beer and wine was a bit too expensive, while another advised not to bother with the pool bar due to poor service. On the plus side, this casino does boast 3,000 slot machines, a hotel, and a live entertainment venue, so maybe go ahead and enjoy all of that — just avoid the drinks.

We’ll wrap things up with the fourth worst casino for a beer. It’s the Hard Rock Casino in Atlantic City, which received a very disappointing 0.62%, with 48 mentions of one of our keywords. It’s pretty hard to believe that a casino that looks as cool as this one (both inside and out) could get something as basic as beer wrong, but here we are.

One person complained about waiting two hours for a beer while gambling! Another mentioned that the menu at the bar lacks light beers, and another still complained that beers weren’t cold enough.

Methodology
