Guests at Planet Hollywood Las Vegas hotel were left traumatized after loose scaffolding shattered their hotel room window as they watched on helplessly.
The terrifying night in Las Vegas was captured on video and was shared this past weekend on several social media channels across different platforms.
One video shared on Facebook by the Las Vegas Life account captures the moment of impact revealing the horrifying scream of one of the room occupants as stray scaffolding smashes the window and glass is sprayed across the room.
The room appears to be a Planet Hollywood suite, Room 697.
Another video shared on Tik Tok by account @kristenstravelife that already has had thousands of views, shows the large metal scaffolding structure swaying wildly in the wind before the impact.
The scaffolding is several meters long and is used to carry window washers who clean the 39-story casino resort.
The video claims the incident took place on Friday, Feb. 14 or 15, and that it occurred due to “negligence of the third party company for not tying down the window washer apparatus.” It also thankfully confirms that no one was on it at the time.
There has been no formal response from Planet Hollywood or Caesars Entertainment following the incident or the release this weekend of the videos.
However, it’s worth pointing out that Planet Hollywood has faced criticism in recent years specifically regarding its upkeep and maintenance. Just two years ago, videos showed rain water pouring onto the casino floor following a storm.
