A new and exciting venture is ahead for online poker master, Tom Wheaton of Faded Spade. The entrepreneurial businessman has launched a new business — Virtual Poker Night.

Tom said, “Virtual Poker Night provides game-changing poker event services for corporate engagement and non-profit fundraising.”

Formerly a Faded Spade (FSVP) service during the pandemic years, Tom says that he has facilitated virtual poker events for hundreds of organisations.

Tom said: “These virtual poker events successfully helped countless clients raise over $5 million in vital funds for their non-profits. We've also facilitated connections for thousands of remote colleagues spanning the globe, fostering camaraderie in these modern times of corporate connectivity.”

Tom's company has been trusted by top-tier corporations and non-profit organisations, including Google, CBS, RSM, Hub International, the Make-A-Wish Foundation, Big Brothers, Big Sisters, Boys and Girls Clubs, the Joe Namath Foundation, the ALS Association, the Christopher Reeve Foundation, and more.

Announcing the launch, Tom said: “Today, we launch Virtual Poker Night as a true business that empowers corporations and non-profits to host engaging, high-impact poker experiences tailored for team building, networking, and fundraising.”

Led by Connor Doyle, they will reconnect with many of their past clients and introduce themselves to new organisations that can benefit from their virtual poker night services. Especially now, since it's widely known that incorporating virtual fundraising or team-building programmes into your plans improves productivity and profit margins.

Tom has no doubt poker is here to stay and said, "I believe that poker—in its purest and most authentic form—is ideally used for philanthropy and fostering camaraderie among people in an uplifting manner."

Most of my career was spent in teaching including at one of the UK’s top private schools. I left London in 2000 and set up home in Wales raising four beautiful children. I enrolled at University where I studied Photography and film and gained a Degree and subsequently a Masters Degree. In 2014 I helped launch a new local newspaper and managed to get front and back page as well as 6 filler pages on a weekly basis. I saw that journalism was changing and was a pioneer of hyperlocal news in Wales. In 2017 I started one of the first 24/7 free independent news sites for Wales. Having taken that to a successful business model I was keen for a new challenge. Joining the company is exciting for me especially as it is a new role in Europe. I am keen to establish myself and help others to do the same.
