The Cromwell casino resort, located in the center of the Las Vegas Strip, will undergo a complete renovation and rebrand to become The Vanderpump Hotel, it has been announced.

The news comes after a flurry of successful partnerships between Caesars Entertainment and serial entrepreneur and television personality Lisa Vanderpump.

The English actress first found fame in The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, followed by a host of reality TV series such as Vanderpump Rules, Vanderpump Dogs and Vanderpump Villas.

As a philanthropist, Vanderpump has established luxury brands of wine, spirits, restaurants and lounges and is already a presence in Las Vegas.

Other Caesars partnerships include Vanderpump Cocktail Garden at Caesars Palace, Vanderpump à Paris at Paris Las Vegas, and, most recently, Pinky’s by Vanderpump at Flamingo Las Vegas.

From Real Housewives to Hotel Designer

This is Vanderpump’s first foray into the hotel business, and one she is excited to begin.

“I am thrilled to once again be partnering with Caesars Entertainment, this time to venture into the hotel business,” Vanderpump said in her announcement on Wednesday. “Hospitality has always been our passion, and our mission is to create something sumptuous with a unique atmosphere.”

Vanderpumo went on to say that she was hoping to transform the property on an historic corner of the Las Vegas Strip into something “unique, playful and upscale.”

Her design company, Vanderpump Alain (with partner Nick Alain), will do the honors of reimagining the casino-hotel’s interior space.

“We can’t wait to breathe new life into this property and make it something truly magical,” she said.

Farewell to the Cromwell

The Cromwell name has been a part of the Las Vegas Strip since 2014, but the property has been there for much longer. It started out as Barbary Coast in 1979, and then transformed to Bill's Gamblin' Hall and Saloon from 2007.

As a small luxury boutique resort, The Cromwell has always set itself apart from almost all other Las Vegas Strip resorts. With only 188 rooms including 19 suites and a 40,000-square-foot casino, it has a unique character and style that many Vegas visitors love.

Positioned on the bustling corner of Las Vegas Boulevard and Flamingo Road – directly opposite Caesars Palace – the hotel has a prime location. The origin of the name ‘The Cromwell,’ however, has no confirmed attachment to any significant individual or meaning.

Vanderpump will not be the property’s first liaison with reality TV either. The Cromwell was transformed in 2020 into the “Love Island Season 2,” Villa, which nestled up to the Drai’s nightclub rooftop pool for televised reality shenanigans.

“We’ve had a phenomenal partnership with Lisa, developing three very successful restaurants in Las Vegas,” Caesars Entertainment Regional President Sean McBurney said. “Now we get to take Lisa’s vision and expertise to the next level – infusing her talent and creativity into an entire hotel at the most incredible location on the Las Vegas Strip.”

Vanderpump Teaser

The next Caesars-Vanderpump development will include enhancement of the hotel reception and front desk area, introduction of an all-new lounge and a full room redesign in the Vanderpump style.

Guests of the new hotel can expect signature Vanderpump Alain furnishings and lighting fixtures with an emphasis on sexy elegance and comfort. Vanderpump will also hand-select the amenities.

“The Vanderpump Hotel represents the identity behind the name we know and respect – Lisa Vanderpump – whose strong, signature style and passion for hospitality are unmatched,” said Terrence O’Donnell, SVP and general manager of the property.

“We couldn’t be more excited to collaborate on this unique project that not only transforms our hotel but also changes the Las Vegas Strip.”

The Vanderpump Hotel is expected to be completed in early 2026. The property will remain open and operating as The Cromwell until then.
