First, each feature symbol that lands will push the icon to the left of the slots up its column. Assuming that once it reaches the top, the feature unlocks. 

This said, on spin eight, I landed three respin symbols, and with them, I won $44. It's a perfect start, and at this point, I could quit and cash out, but I play on. After playing eleven spins with nothing happening, I land a $20 win. This comes about by having two expanding Wild symbols covering reels 1 and 2. I had no idea up till this point that expanding Wilds were part of the game. With this win, I broke even and decided to quit the game with more spins available.
