I am just going to get one thing out of the way very quickly. Big Stack Lumberjack is co-made with Print Studios at the helm and ridden shotgun by Relax Gaming, one of the worst slot makers in the market.
Okay, now completely erase that information from your brain because what Print Studios has done without anyone’s help is produce one of the most serene slot machines online.
No kidding, folks. You could load this game from your online casino and leave the slot untouched while the lovely country, blues-style music, and melody play on a loop. Now, I am hoping there is more to this game because I don’t want to have to cut Print Studios down to size.
Let’s find out together as I examine the software, features, settings, and performance. Once you create your free Casinos.com account, you can enjoy the free slots demo.
The design of this game is oddly wholesome; it captures a warm spirit and special mood.
The setting of this game is out in the woodlands of what feels like North Canada. You have the Lumberjack surrounded by all sorts of trees bursting with autumnal color, and there is a path behind him that leads up a hill to a solitary tree with a sun ray on it. This is The Eternal Oak.
Between two trees, the slot sits and comes with three rows and five reels. The game also carries ten paylines and offers players a Feature Bet option.
Big Stack Lumberjack is a game I highly recommend, and I don’t say that often. The game has a wonderful aura about it.
To play Big Stack Lumberjack, first, set your bet as soon as the game loads. Click on Bet or use the directions keys < and > to scroll through the pricing of your bet. The cost of play, which you pay per spin, starts at $0.10 and climbs to a $50 max betting cost.
With your bet selected, you can begin playing. Select the spin button, and this will put the reels in motion. The result of your bet comes when all reels cease spinning. To win, you must match the same symbols across the game’s paylines.
The paying symbols of the Beech, Maple, Elm, and Spruce can all payout when two or more land on a payline. The Bush, Stump, Log, and Rock, along with the Wild symbol, all payout when three or more land on the paylines.
Below is an overview of the Big Stack Lumberjack slot bonus features:
Every high-paying tree symbol covers all three rows of the game. These symbols pay in two different ways. One is their vertical form, and when landing in full view, it will carry a multiplier of up to x100. The second way is the Timberfall.
As soon as this game loaded, I blanked out everything about Relax Gaming, and I could not wait to play it. I took on Big Stack Lumberjack with a big bet of $3 per spin and opted to play 50 auto-spins, which is another feature of this slot.
Here’s what happened…
With the first few spins, several full tree symbols landed. A few times, two bonus symbols also appeared. However, after playing the first ten spins, I have only won once, equaling $1.20. On spin 21, I get the full tree symbol, and the lumberjack springs into animated action and hacks at the tree. A brilliant touch, though I failed to notice what I had won.
Two spins later, and three bonus symbols landed. The Volatility option was presented with a heavenly sound of serenity and bird calls. I opted to play 7 Free Spins with the higher multipliers but with fewer Timberfall features.
The bonus game resulted in me winning $7.80. Yeah, it's slightly depressing when you see so many multiplier values landing but nothing else for them to go against.
I resumed the base game, and as I played out my remaining spins, it became all too clear that the hit rate was shockingly low. I did manage to get a $9.50 win inside of the last ten spins. But sadly, my hopes were cut down as I ended the game with nothing to show for it.
[drops to knees]
DAMN YOU TO HELL RELAX GAMING!!!
Big Stack Lumberjack plays with a high volatility setting, which is very noticeable in this game. The Return to Player is scored at 96.18%, which is average. The maximum you can win is 20,000 times your bet. If playing $50 spins, the winnable jackpot comes in at $100,000.
Big Stack Lumberjack is a game I highly recommend, and I don’t say that often. The game has a wonderful aura about it. It comes with a working concept and isn’t just a cool design that ends with the look of the game and background. I love the features, and I like that you can pick your bonus. Sadly, the volatility kills the game, so I advise you to play the demo first before you head off into the best casinos to play with real money.
