When the developer Relax Gaming waltzes out with a new game, one is suddenly compelled to roll their eyes and mutter, “Here we go, what is it this time?” It's a bit like a younger family member, between 3 and 5, wanting to show you a picture they made. Now, you know, and I know, that kids can’t draw, so you have to grin while deciphering the image. That’s the level where I’m at when it comes to Relax Gaming.
The work we have to decipher in this review is Bone Raiders. Now, before we begin, I am someone who can also hold their hands up to admit wrongness and give credit where credit is due. With Bone Raiders, I will eat my words if I have to.
I take on this game in its real money mode and share with you how to play this innovative game. I will also discuss the four bonus levels, the RTP, and volatility. The design, the features, and the payouts.
To help you understand more about this game, Casinos.com has embedded the free slots demo game. This gives you first-hand contact with the game, which is the first proper step to helping you know if Bone Raiders is a game you’d like to play for real money.
The Bone Raiders by Relax Gaming has a design seen in one or two other slot games, making it extremely rare and special. The game begins with a fort surrounded by a moat and a stone wall. The slot's layout presents a 3x5 grid that can expand to seven reels and seven rows. It also comes with a Ways to Win mechanism, offering up to 243 ways to win.
There’s just nothing to this game. The music is more engaging than the gameplay.
First, play Bone Raiders in a regulated casino that is licensed by a reputable authority. Basically, take your pick of the platform from any featured at Casinos.com. Next, load the game and set the bet's value, which is what you will be paying for each spin you play.
The cost of a bet per spin covers many values ranging from $0.10 to $100. With this ready, you can begin playing Bone Raiders by selecting the spin button. You need three or more matching symbols to land on the reels to win. The symbols must be on adjacent reels from left to right, with no reel space between them. If you land a win, you will trigger a response, which also increases the multiplier. The multiplier will double with every consecutive win made.
The rules of how to play are simple and the same as 99% of slot machines. You set your bet, press the spin button, and hope for the right symbols to drop in the right positions. The game is 99% automated, so everything that comes about does so by chance.
During play, you can trigger special features and bonuses to expand the gaming experience and increase the possibility of winning real money.
Bonus Game: Unlock the Bonus game when you land three bonus symbols on the middle three reels. The slot will then load to a new level with an expanded area, giving you now seven rows and seven reels. The bonus round will include various features that influence the game. You get two spins that will reset when feature symbols land. The four different features are:
Magic Staff: This feature will select a random symbol and multiply it on the reel.
Bomb: This wipes out symbols in the surrounding area.
Cannon: The cannon feature shoots to randomly destroy a number of symbols.
Compass: A pattern of symbols, i.e., diagonally, will all become destroyed.
Bony Bonus Feature: If you want to skip the base game and head directly into the bonus, then why not pay to do so? Well, if you want to, you can, and it’s a small cost (compared to hundreds of other slots), which is 70x the amount you are betting per spin.
There are already a couple of things about this game that disappoint me. Yet, with that said, was I really surprised by that? Nope! I set my bet to play $1 spins across 50 auto-spins. No way was I going to spend more than $50 on a Relax Gaming slot.
The experience gets off to a good start, with my first 15 spins returning wins of $5. This is, of course, pure sarcasm. All the wins that land that even then come with x2 multipliers are at a value that is lower or just over my $1 bet. So far, with 25 spins played, my biggest win is $1.80.
There’s just nothing to this game. The music is more engaging than the gameplay. With five spins left, I failed to win a single thing. Well, there you have it. Bone Raiders by Relax Gaming. Illuminatingly crap.
Bone Raiders comes with a medium to high volatility setting. The RTP is at 96.1 percent. The maximum payout is 10,000 times the bet value. The jackpot is, therefore, capped at $1,000,000 if you play spins at the max bet value of $100.
Relax Gaming could have done more to make it better. The design gives the illusion that there are levels to progress through. Like a map, given the design looks down on the game and gives hints there is more to what you can see. In part, it’s true. When you open the bonus round, the map moves you to a new location to play the game. I just felt there should have been more of this as part of the base game. For example, progress on a trail bar and then move to a new area of the game with a larger set of rows and reels, and so on. But then, this is Relax Gaming. They only make one good game every 12 months.
If you ask me, you’re better off playing these slot games, as they really do have immersive elements to them.

Read Full BioRelax Gaming developed the Bone Raiders slot. I’m not a huge fan of their work, and on the odd occasion, they might surprise me, but I don’t intentionally seek out their games. However, there is a fan base, and their most popular slots are Temple Tumble and Money Cart (pick any from the series).

Relax Gaming released Bone Raiders on August 27, 2024. If you like playing the demo of this game and want to try other titles made by the developer, then these are three of their latest releases. Space Attacks Dream Drop, Atlantis Crush, and Fang’s Inferno Dream Drop.
The bonus game featuring in Bone Raiders is not your normal type of free spins bonus game. You will unlock the bonus round when you land three bonus scatter symbols. You will have two spins and several features that can advance your success. When you land more feature symbols, you can reset your spin counter.
The Bone Raiders slot game does have a Buy Bonus feature. This allows players to skip the base game and buy their way into the bonus round. If you wish to take this up, it will come at a cost that is 70 times the value of your bet.
