Having seen and played hundreds of games that delve into and bring to life the many Greek mythologies, it can somewhat lose its appeal. But, on reflection, you have to think about how lucky we are to have these stories, ideas, and theologies. Without Greek mythology, Bow of Artemis doesn’t exist, and instead, we find ourselves in a world where a game is made about some high-school girl and her handbag. Something that would be very bland indeed.
To formulate this review, I play Bow of Artemis for real money. I share my experience and look into the software and gaming performance. I will highlight the bonus rounds, design, and payout potential, and I will look into the programming.
This review of Bow of Artemis by Pragmatic Play comes with the official demo game that can be played without restrictions. If you like the game, Casinos.com will help you find trusted online casinos that suit your needs and provide Bow of Artemis as a real money slot.
Pragmatic Play has produced a monster of a game. Its layout is a massive 8-row, 8-reel game with a Cluster and Tumble mechanism. For its mythological design, Bow of Artemis is set in a forest largely blocked out by the game. To the right of the slot is Artemis holding her bow, surrounded by a blue magnetic aura. Beside her is a multiplier counter feature called the Hunt Meter.
To have so many features in a game that, when struck, they provide wins that are less than the value you are betting 95% of the time makes the game poor value for the money you deposit.
This Greek mythology slot looks as if it should come with an instruction manual. But despite its size, it will still fundamentally play like a normal 3-row, 5-reel slot. When you load the game, change the bet settings before spinning the reels. Bets are paid per spin, and the game defaults at $2. If this is too high or too low, select the minus or plus buttons to shift through the many different values you can set. Bets begin at a low cost of $0.20 and rise to the max bet value of $240.
To begin playing, select the spin button, or you can opt to play autospins. The Tumble feature sees the symbols drop off the reels as new ones emerge. When wins are made, they are done so by forming clusters of five or more symbols connected across adjacent reels. The symbols that formulate wins charge the Hunt Meter and are removed from the game. The symbols above drop into their space, and new symbols enter into the game. This can produce new winning clusters, and a string of consecutive wins can happen. When wins are produced, they will also record on the window to the left of the reels.
The basics of playwork in this fashion. You press the spin button and hope to land five or more of the game’s symbols. You do this repeatedly until you win enough to quit the game or until you have spent what you can afford to lose.
But what of the special features and the bonus rounds?
Spin Features: Land a win wherein a colored marker is highlighted during a spin, and you will launch one of six special spin features.
Hunt Progressive: Wins charge the Hunt Meter, and when it is filled to certain points, the multiplier will come into effect. The multiplier values are x2, x3, and x5.
Buy Bonus Feature: Players can buy the Hunt Feature for a cost that is 100 times their bet value.
Firstly, seeing Pragmatic Play make something bold for once is nice. It’s been a while since they have impressed me, and this game seems to be packing something special.
I load Bow of Artemis and set my bet to $2 per spin. I also play in its autoplay mode, selecting 50 spins in total. I soon learned that colored markers do not appear with each spin. I won with my second spin [$0.80], and on spin 20, I hit Lucky Wilds. Four spins later, I also hit the Power feature. Now, my issue is that the winning totals are very small, and nothing over $2 is returned. Three consecutive wins and only a total of $2 seem very dull. This trend of nothingness continued up till the very last spin. Features were hit, and in return, I got very little. This tells me that there is no point in this game, and value for money went out the window.
The volatility programmed into this game is set to the highest setting, which accounts for my very lackluster experience. The RTP is 96.05%, and the maximum that can be won is 10,000 times the bet value. If you gamble at $240 per spin, the max payout is $2,400,000!
What a disappointment. To have so many features in a game that, when struck, they provide wins that are less than the value you are betting 95% of the time makes the game poor value for the money you deposit.
There are better mythology games in the market, so I recommend that you play these three alternative slots instead:

The Bow of Artemis slot was launched by Pragmatic Play on July 29, 2024. This slot follows in the steps of Jackpot Hunter, Dynamite Diggin Doug, and Joker’s Jewels Wild. All can be played in their free demo mode, with their reviews highlighting which casinos online offer them as real money games.
The game doesn’t come with a conventional free spins bonus round. Instead, Bow of Artemis comes with a special feature called The Hunt Progressive, which relies on forming consecutive wins. This feature has five levels, and any of the spin features can be added during play.
Players can skip the base game of Bow of Artemis and buy their way into the Hunt Progressive feature. The cost of playing the bonus round is 100 times the value of the player’s bet. Despite the high cost, there is no guarantee wins will be made to recoup the expense.
