The original slot kept things very simple, offering players just one bonus feature and some minimal returns. Has the company improved on this for the Ancient Egypt-themed slot sequel? One thing that was incredibly clear to me when I loaded up the Egypt King 2 slot was how much inspiration the company had drawn from similar titles in the field, like Play’n GO’s Book of Dead. The central character in Egypt King 2 is a handsome explorer who bears a strong resemblance to the Rich Wilde character from the Play’n Go games. 

The rest of the game’s design is fairly generic. A golden temple sits in the background of the reels, with traditional Egyptian imagery, including the Eye of Horus and the head of Anubis, all making appearances. If you are a fan of Egyptian-themed tunes, then you are out of luck, with the game featuring no soundtrack and just a few old-school sound effects playing as the reels spin. 

The Egypt King 2 slot sticks with a similar set-up to the original game. The slot uses five reels, three rows, and 50 paylines. Wins are formed whenever players land a matching combination of three or more symbols across a payline. 

The control panel for the game is beneath the reels, with the autospin and menu buttons located there.

There is a handful of bonus features available in Egypt King 2. Keep your eyes peeled for Mystery Diamond symbols. Landing three of these triggers the Mystery Bonus. This is a pick-me-style feature where players must choose a diamond to reveal a prize. The prize can be either 30x, 60x, or 100x your stake. 

Landing six or more of the Pearl Symbols on the grid will trigger the Features Game. This is a hold’n spin-style feature. The triggering symbols remain on the grid, while standard symbols are removed. Players get three respins. Each time a new Pearl lands, the spin count reset. At the end of the feature, the value of all of the Pearls is added up and paid out. 

There are also four jackpots available in this round. The Minor, Major, Maxi, and Mega Jackpots are worth 5x, 25x, 250x, and 500x your stake, respectively. To win them, you need to land their respective symbols. For the first three jackpots, you need to land one symbol, while the Mega requires three. 

Finally, players are also presented with a Gamble option whenever they land a win. This is a Card Gamble game where you need to guess the color of the next card to double your money. 

You can pay your way into the bonus round by clicking the ‘Buy Feature Games’ option at the side of the reels. 

As I have mentioned elsewhere in this Egypt King 2 review, my first thoughts of the game were about how similar it was to other titles in the genre. Outside of this, I found the game really easy to play. I took it for a test on a phone, tablet, and desktop device and found no notable differences. The writing on the paytable was small on mobile sites, which is a minor issue. 

I recommend playing the Egypt King 2 demo we have provided before you play for real money. This will give you an indication as to whether you want to play for real. I always test the Buy Feature in demo games to test out the bonus features for free, so I would suggest doing that. 

I tested the Gamble feature in the game on several occasions and never came out on top. I always recommend staying away from these, but if you want to try it, then do so in the demo version. 

There is a solid betting range available, with players able to bet between $0.10 and $100 on every spin. 

The Egypt King 2 slot is not likely to blow players away with its math model. The RTP is below average at 95.45%, and I found the maximum win to be disappointing at 1,080x your stake. The slot has been given a medium volatility rating, which I found reflected my own experiences. 

With so many fun Egyptian-themed slots on the market, I cannot really recommend taking Egypt King 2 for a spin. The game feels very similar to other titles in the genre but fails to pack anywhere near as much of a punch in the winning department. The 1,080x maximum win and poor RTP mean that this game is really lacking when it comes to winning potential. The bonuses themselves are fine, but a lack of free spins is also going to disappoint some players.
