As such, it has decided to take us on another trip to Ancient Egypt, this time in the Egypt King Obelisk Quest slot game. The original two titles served simple gameplay that appealed to a more old-school crowd. How does this entry stack up? Let’s find out in this Egypt King Obelisk Quest slot review. 

I have always felt as though the Egypt King series has taken direct inspiration from Play’n GO’s Book of Dead and Rich Wilde slots, and Egypt King Obelisk Quest does nothing to dampen those suspicions. 

We join the game’s main character, a handsome explorer, as he goes on the hunt for Ancient Egyptian treasure. A beautiful Egyptian Queen also joins him on the reels, though her presence in the story is never really explained. 

The slot looks exactly as you would expect a game with the word ‘Egypt’ in the title to look. The reels are found deep beneath the ground in an ancient golden temple or burial chamber. They are encased with gold, while classic symbols like the Sphinx, Anubus, and a Scarab beetle occupy them. 

A fairly standard Egyptian-style soundtrack plays as you spin the reels, picking up the tempo when you trigger the game’s bonus features, which I will explore in more detail later in this Egypt King Obelisk Quest slot review. 

The Egypt King Obelisk Quest has a very basic set-up. The game uses five reels, three rows, and ten paylines. Wins are secured when players hit three or more matching symbols across a payline. 

The game’s control panel is located under the reels, with players able to adjust their stake by clicking on the total bet button at the end. I found the game’s screen to be intuitively designed on mobile and desktop. 

There is just one bonus in the Egypt King Obelisk slot, but it does significantly improve the gameplay. 

The free spins round is triggered when players land three or more scatters. Three, four, or five scatters trigger 10, 15, or 20 spins, respectively. During the round, every fourth scatter collected upgrades the game’s wild symbol. 

At four scatters, it doubles in height; after eight, it triples, and after twelve, it expands to fill the whole reel. 

Unfortunately, there is no Buy Bonus option in Egypt King Obelisk Quest.

When playing, I triggered the Free Spins round on several occasions, which was helpful given that there is no Buy Bonus feature available. From a design perspective, the game is very basic, but that is to be expected from Swintt, who has made its name with these kinds of titles. Overall, it’s a fairly standard slot with a good bonus round but limited winning potential.
