The follow-up game to Gold Blitz does come with a new design and includes new features. The original 4x6 gaming display remains the same but does carry a better trim of style and color around the reels. The color tones have shifted from blues to a purple hue. The gaming symbols remain the same: gold bars, bells, horseshoes, stacked coins, and the electrified dollar sign, all playing their usual role in helping you win.  Now, in terms of gaming theme or design, it is more of a fusion of power, energy, and color. If you have played the original Gold Blitz slot online already, then the gameplay standards are really no different. First, you have the free spin bonus round, which can be activated by landing three or more scatter bonus symbols. Relative to the number of scatter bonuses you get, you could be rewarded up to 30 free bonus spins. Not only do you get these spins, but there is an inclusion of a multiplier.

During base gameplay, if you land two bonus symbols, a multiplier value adds to your Bonus Multiplier score. This can hit a max score of x5 to be used when the bonus round is activated. Also, within the free spins feature, you can re-trigger additional spins with up to 30 free spins available.

Landing three or more scatter symbols is one way of playing the main bonus game. The other is to pay for the privilege. Gold Blitz Extreme, just like all in the series, comes with a Bonus Buy option. The Bonus Buy slots feature allows you to choose between two games. Either the free spins bonus or the Gold Blitz. The Gold Blitz bonus game gives you seven Gold Blitz spins. During play, the lower-valued symbols are removed, so you have a guaranteed Cash Collect on every spin. The maximum winnable amount from this feature clocks in at 100x your betting total.

I have played both the first Gold Blitz game and this new release from Fortune Factory and Games Global. The differences are noticeable, and the Extreme version is a fitting format for a very successful jackpot series.

In my experience with Gold Blitz Extreme, I played with a balance of $50 and spun the reels at a cost of $1 per spin. After 50 spins, I had a balance of $1.10 and landed the game’s main feature. I chose to play eight free spins with a 5x wild multiplier. The return from this was $44.90. This almost evened the play, which is surprising given the volatility and RTP that comes with Gold Blitz Extreme.

Is it better than the first Gold Blitz? Yes.

When you play Gold Blitz Extreme, you have an additional jackpot prize, which the first does not. The prize money with the Gold Blitz jackpot series fluctuates depending on the value you spin at. The more you pay to play, the greater the jackpot value increases. This will obviously decrease the lower your bet per spin goes. 

The values of the jackpots are:

• Mega — up to $125,000
• Major — up to $12,500
• Minor — up to $2,500
• Mini — up to $1,250

Overall, the game carries a 5,500x multiplier, meaning you can win up to $275,000.

The RTP of this game is 96%, the same as the first game. The volatility also matches, as it is programmed as a high-volatility slot machine.
