In Lucky Lemons, the reels are populated with sour yellow fruit, with a giant lemon above the grid displaying a handful of jackpots that can be won. Join me as I discuss the game and share my thoughts in the Lucky Lemons online slot review below.

Snowborn Games has opted for a very simple approach with the Lucky Lemons slot design. The game uses a simple bright blue background, with the symbols on the reels consisting of a range of fruit and classic slot symbols. 

I found the design very generic, with it doing little to stand out from similarly themed slots you can find on all of the best online casino sites. A few animations occur on the game board, and a bright lemon above the reels displays the multipliers, but overall, the design is very forgettable.

The Lucky Lemons slot game keeps things conventional in the base game. Therefore, you’ll find five reels, three rows, and 20 paylines. Wins are scored when players land three or more matching symbols across a line, from left to right. 

All of the standard gameplay features you could expect to find are present and correct, with the game having an autospin and max-bet option available in the control panel.

There are several bonus features that do help add some life to the Lucky Lemons slot game. The first of these is the Collection feature. Whenever you land a Lemon symbol displaying a cash value alongside a Collect symbol on the fifth reel, it will be collected and instantly paid out. 

It may also receive a boost from the Lemon Booster meter. This starts at 1x and increases by one whenever an UP symbol lands. Once it has paid out, the meter resets. 

If you land three or more Scatter symbols on the reels, you will be rewarded with 10 Lucky Lemons Free Spins. During the bonus round, the Lemon Booster Meter does not reset. It also provides additional spins when you reach levels 4, 7, and 10. 

Finally, there is a hold-and-spin style round. This triggers randomly when the Lemon symbol lands on reels 1-4. Players are rewarded with three spins, with the game grid clearing. Only Lemons and Prize symbols can land during this round, and each time one lands, the spin count restarts. 

If you fill the entire grid, you will be rewarded with the Mega jackpot worth 5,000x your stake. You can also win the Mini, Minor, and Major by landing three of their corresponding symbols. These are worth 30x, 100x, and 500x your stake. At the end of the round, the prizes on the grid are paid out. 

A Buy Bonus feature is available, with players able to buy their way into the Free Spins round for 50x their stake.

I took the Lucky Lemons slot game for a test ride on both my mobile and desktop. Due to the game's basic design, I found that there is no noticeable difference between the mobile and desktop versions.

Lucky Lemons feels like the very definition of a run-of-the-mill online slot game. The game’s theme is basic, and the gameplay features lack imagination. Likewise, the math model is not pushing any boundaries, making the game very hard to recommend. While it is not bad and will certainly not offend anyone, it lacks anything that makes it stand out, ultimately embodying the word average.
