Nolimit City has launched a slot, one that feels more like a video game rather than a slot, called Pearl Harbor. As implied by its name, it is a slot that depicts the battle between the US and Japan, which left a permanent mark in history.
When it comes to the math model, the slot is highly volatile, played over a grid that goes from 3x3 to 7x7, to be explained later. It comes with an average RTP of 96.21%, three Bonus Buy options, and features so many that it is hard to count them. The Cluster Pays mechanic is offered, so if you're ready to get in the battle and get out as a winner from it, stay with us, as we'll take you through all the important details and the best online slot bonuses in this Pearl Harbor slot review.
If you’ve played the developer’s Das xBoot, you won’t be surprised to see that the Pearl Harbor slot demo is played as if looking through a periscope with the target placed on the reels. You see all kinds of dials surrounding the grid, in addition to the Bonus Buy button on the left of them. The Bonus Buy options are 60x the stake for the Dog Fight and 712x the stake for the Tora! Tora! Tora Bonus or 73x the stake for a random shot at either bonus, to be explained below.
On the left of the grid, below the yellow Bonus Buy button, you see the three-dot button where the paytable is. Enter it, and you’ll meet the low-paying symbols, the playing card Royals from 10 through A, and the high-paying symbols, which are the four military persons, giving you up to 625x for a cluster of 40 or more symbols.
Below the three-dot button, you see the Speaker button, where you can enable or disable the sounds of the game. The Dollar button is next, where you can adjust your bet from $0.20 to $100 per spin. On the right side of the reels, you see the big Spin button, and below it, you see the Autospin and Quickspin buttons. In the footer, you see the Bet and Balance displays.
Like most new online slots, the Pearl Harbor real money slot can be played across tablet, desktop, and mobile devices. Regardless of the device you have, you’ll see that the slot is fitted to any screen size. And regardless of the operating system your device uses, the slot plays impeccably on any device.
the active area of the grid. When a win is formed, the winning symbols are removed and new ones are added on the reels with an Avalanche. This continues for as long as you’re landing new wins.
As introduced, the slot is packed with features, which are all bonus features, so let’s get straight to them.
As just mentioned, symbols pay on the active area of the grid, which means inside the target. Those outside of the target do not count. Similarly, Scatters count only in this area, even though they can theoretically land on any reel. If a Bonus Round is triggered and the Scatter is split, its Multiplier becomes an x-Multiplier. If you activate the xBet Banzai, for 50% of the stake, you are to receive one Scatter in the active area, guaranteed, by 3x improving your chances to trigger the Dog Fight Bonus. Should you increase the bet by 100% the stake, 2 Scatters are added, by 10x increasing the chance to trigger the Tora! Tora! Tora bonus and getting the top RTP of 96.33%.
When in the active area, xBombs blow away up to 10 symbols surrounding it and increase the Win Multiplier with 1+ for the next Avalanche, or the x-Multiplier value. If on the corner or the border of the area, they increase the size of the active area. When split, they get 2x Multipliers for the first, and double for each consecutive split. These xBombs do not blow away transformed Wilds or Scatters. On that note, when Target symbols land in the active area, they transform into Wilds. When on an inactive area, the active area expands to include the symbol.
Now, xSplit symbols can land and split all symbols in the direction they’ve landed. Initially, they have two swords pointing horizontally or vertically, but if split, they get another sword in a new direction. If it gets to 4 swords, it adds a 2x Multiplier. When Multiplier xSplits split symbols, all those symbols get a Multiplier, too, or their existing Multiplier increases; in the case of xBombs, Targets, and Scatters, they get a 2x Multiplier. After the splitting performance, all xSplits transform into Wilds with Multiplier values equal to their number of swords.
When 2x2 or 3x3 Colossal symbols land, they expand the active area and if split, they can get Multipliers of up to 2x, or individual Multipliers can be multiplied by 2.
Finally, we’ve come to the Pearl Harbor bonus rounds. Dog Fight gets triggered with 3 Scatters, while Tora! Tora! Tora! With 4. 3 Free Spins are triggered. In Dog Fight, the dials will spin and reveal +Multipliers, x-Multipliers, or nada. Multipliers that land reset the spin count. Should you manage to fill a column of dials, you trigger the Dog Fight Attack. Here, all Multipliers are activated and if you hit a plane, you get their prize. If all 18 dials are filled, you trigger the Kamikaze Attack where you get to spin a wheel with 10 segments, including Multipliers and misses. If you hit a ship, the Multiplier is applied to the total. Tora! Tora! Tora! Is basically the same, but with the Bomb Drop and Midway Pop features, which help by adding + and x-Multipliers.
Considering how extensive the features were, let's keep things here short and simple. The slot is highly volatile, with an RTP that goes up to 96.21%, and a payout potential of up to 41,127x the stake.
Considering the max bet is $100, it means the slot can deliver an out-of-this-world payout of $4,112,700! Not surprisingly, given the action-packed gameplay and all of those possibilities to win and Multipliers!
Pearl Harbor is one of those slots that you either hate or love. But, if a millennial, or a player who loves both video games and real money slots, this slot would be a dream come true for you. Especially if you’re also a high-roller looking for life-changing wins. No, not really. However, the slot, even though not offering a progressive jackpot pot, it does offer a jackpot-like prize of more than $4 million. It is highly volatile and the max bet is $100, so do your math to see if it would suit your appetite.
No, the Pearl Harbor slot does not feature the Megaways mechanics. Even though it has Avalanches, Cluster Pays mechanics, and massive payout potential, this is definitely not a Megaways slot. This is not a slot that features Big Time Gaming’s mega-popular mechanics.
Not necessarily. It all depends on how much you’d like to win. The slot can deliver over 40,000x the stake, so whichever stake you place would contribute to the max win. However, you won’t get to the $4 million payout without the max bet.
Sure thing. As previously explained, Pearl Harbor is a game playable across all devices, be it mobile, desktop, or tablet, no matter whether the device runs on iOS or Android. Therefore, you can definitely play it on your iPhone or iPad.
Pearl Harbor is a slot playable in both demo and real money mode. In the former mode, you won’t get real money wins. In the latter, though, for placing real money bets, your wins will be real money, too, of course.
Many Nolimit City online casinos have been reviewed here, where you could play the slot Pearl Harbor. Which one of those would be the best fit for you would depend on your preferences, so check a few to choose your most preferred.
Yes, indeed. There are two bonus rounds, the Dog Fight, and the Tora! Tora! Tora!, each arriving with 3 Free Spins and packed with modifiers. You trigger the former with 3, and the latter with 4 Scatters. The latter also comes with two extra modifiers.
As said in the verdict, the Pearl Harbor slot is a game that some players would hate, meaning those players used to simple and straightforward slot games like classic slots, or love, meaning those players who like video games and innovative, interactive, engaging slots.
On the reels of Pearl Harbor, you will see the low-paying playing card Royals, 10, J, Q, K, and A, and the high-paying military characters, the captain, the soldier, the pilot, and the sergeant. You'll also see different dials and split symbols with arrows.
