Pineapple Pop Slot Layout, Theme & Setup

When you load Pineapple Pop, there is a lot to take in. This is a huge game in every sense. First, the layout of the slot comes in an 8x6 grid. Yes, what you have here is a cascading slot game, also known as rolling reels. This means there are no paylines —wins are made through clusters of the same symbol. Because of the slot size, there are 262,144 potential ways to win.

However, the game is about advancement, so when you begin playing, you start with the slots at 4x6. The growth in the layout comes about by winning. More on this to be explained in the next section.

Pineapple Pop is set on a beach surrounded by palm trees, with the game symbols designed as fruits trapped in ice blocks. It looks like this is going to be a highly refreshing game to play. You will see there are several features named in the game. The Upsizer, Free Spins, and Feature Buy. More on this to come.

In total, I played 100 spins, and I have to say I enjoyed this.

How to Play Pineapple Pop Slot

What is a cascading slot machine? Simply put, when you win, those symbols vanish from the game, and any symbols above drop into the vacant space. Further symbols then drop into the slot to fill the remaining spaces. What this does, or can do, is cause a chain reaction of wins from just one spin.

When a win is produced, the layout of the game grows one row at a time. This stops when no win is produced and reverts to a 4 x 6 layout. With the growth of the symbols featured, the ways to win also increased.

Winning is formed by hitting three or more matching fruits across adjacent reels. The fruit symbols include melon, orange, kiwi, grape, strawberry, mango, pear, plum, cherries, banana, lime, and blueberry. The highest wins are generated by hitting six matching fruits in a cluster.

Before engaging in play, set the price per spin to a value you can afford. The default setting for this game in both demo and real play is $2 per spin. Tap or click on the Bet icon, and you can choose from as little as $0.20 per spin. The max price you can play is $50 a go, and the rule is this: the more you put in, the more the game pays out.

Once you are ready to play, press the central spin button. The control panel also provides an auto play button and a lightning play option. You can access the paytable in the information icon, which details the symbol values, shares the bonus round information, and shows how the Ways to Win feature works.

Pineapple Pop Slot Free Spins, Bonus Features & Bonus Buy

Pineapple Pop has many fun features that make playing the game highly entertaining. The game features Jumbo Blocks. These can appear at any stage of play and can be up to 4x the size of a normal symbol block. Because of their size, they will only appear between reel 2 and 6.

Any spaces formed by a win that appears beneath a Jumbo block will be filled with wild symbols. This is called the Wild Fill feature.

The game’s scatter symbol is represented by the Pineapple Pop. The scatter can invoke the Second Chance feature. When the symbol lands, it waits till all possible wins are made. Then, within the area of the scatter, up to 12 symbols will explode. This gives space for more symbols to drop into the game.

If you land three scatters, this will unlock the free spins bonus round. You will be awarded six free spins to try and win from. If you land additional scatters, new free spins will be awarded to help you progress. When the round begins, the round of play starts with four rows of symbols. This is where the Elevator feature comes into play. The Elevator locks in the highest possible minimum ways to win for the duration of spins to be played. During play, the Elevator will move up one row till you are playing the massive 8 x 6 layout slot.

In free spins, there is something called Persistent Wilds. If Wild symbols remain during a round of play, these are collected and put to the bottom row of the reels, where they stay until they help produce a win.

You can bypass the main game and buy your way into a bonus buy slots round of play by paying for the privilege. This is what the Feature Buy is. You can buy 6, 9, 12, 15, or 25 free spins at a cost.

So, what is the Upsizer? This is only activated with free spins. It gives the player a chance to buy more free spins than won. Up to 25 can be paid for.

My Experience Playing Pineapple Pop Slot for Real Money

Normally, I’m not drawn to playing fruit-themed games. I put it down to being far too masculine. This said, Neon Valley Studios has done an excellent job with this one. I played this game in the demo mode and kept to the default price of $2 a spin. In total, I played 100 spins, and I have to say I enjoyed this. The highest rows I hit were 6, but I still made good returns with the scatter feature assisting many times. I didn’t naturally trigger any of the free spins bonuses, so I tested it via the Feature Buy. I purchased 12 free spins and found the bonus round plays on a different screen. This time, it’s nighttime, with the trees illuminated purple and blue. From my free spins, I won a total of $281.20, with the ways to win locked in at 262,144. The cost of buying 12 free spins was $250, so I was up.

Pineapple Pop Slot RTP, Max Payout, and Volatility

The Pineapple Pop slot machine by Neon Valley Studios comes with a 96% Return to Player score. This theoretical payback rating is based on game time and cost. The volatility is high, so the programming makes winning less frequent than games with low or medium volatility settings. The appeal of such games is the potential greater value in payouts when they do land.

The maximum that can be won is all relative to the amount you pay to play. The return will be 5,000x the amount you spin, so if you play at $50 a spin, which is the highest, you can potentially win a max payout of $250,000. Again, this is why the volatility is set to high.

On a plus note, $50 as a max cost of play is lower than a lot of other games that come with the same jackpot values. In some cases, with less to win. So, for this alone, Pineapple Pop is actually a game that is good value for money.

Pineapple Pop Slot Verdict and Recommended Games

Pineapple Pop isn’t a game that’s going to be picking up prizes at the end of the year, but for now, it’s the entertainment that counts. Pineapple Pop provides plenty of features, and while none are innovative, they give players opportunities. I feel that with the Elevator feature, a multiplier addition should have been added.  On the whole, it is a greatly entertaining game to play at top casinos, and it really does trigger all the senses in the right way.

If you liked playing the demo of this game, then I recommend you check out these alternative titles like Viking Runecraft by Play’n GO, Gems Gone Wild: Power Reels by Red Tiger Gaming. Lastly, I recommend Hot Hot Chilli Pot by Red Tiger Gaming.
