The name of the game is a dead giveaway for the theme. The Temple Rush Dream Drop slot takes place in a deep and undiscovered part of a jungle. The grid is held by stone totems, which are slightly illuminated by a mysterious green light from behind.

Symbols include rare gems and a diamond, card royals, as well as special symbols such as wilds and a bonus scatter. The scatter shows an animal totem, and the great part is that it peeks through ripped positions on the top of the grid whenever it lands. So do the other special symbols including collectors and multipliers, which come into play later.

To start playing the Temple Rush DD slot, you’ll need to place a bet. Use the tool beneath the reels to set bets between 20c and $100 per spin. The spin button is in the center. To be honest, this layout doesn’t look or feel different than most Relax Gaming slots.

As you can see immediately, the action occurs on a 6x6 grid. However, the top two rows are locked. You start with 4,096 ways to win, meaning you need three or more matching symbols in adjacent positions for a win. The diamond pays the most, while the wild substitutes for other symbols in winning combinations.

Each win triggers a cascade, and they will keep going as long as you hit winning combinations. The cascades also unlock the rows up top, increasing the number of winning ways.

• A golden totem collect symbol lands on reels one and six in the base game. It collects any cash symbols on the grid. If any cash symbols land in consecutive cascades, their values are added to the win total.
• Any cash symbols without a collect symbol in sight increase the rush multiplier. When the collector claims the cash prizes, the multiplier is added to the totals. To make things more interesting, a collect symbol is guaranteed to land after the rush multiplier is increased.

Three or more bonus symbols on the grid initiate the bonus round. Players have two options to choose from:

• 10, 15, 20, or 30 temple free spins for three, four, five, or six scatters
• 4, 6, 8, or 12 cash rush free spins for three, four, five, or six scatters

The temple free spins are played on reels with maximum height. This bonus round has a progressive multiplier that boosts all wins during the bonus. Special symbols can increase the rush multiplier or award additional free spins.

If you choose the cash rush free spins, the bonus plays similarly to a Hold & Win bonus round. Only collect symbols and cash prizes appear on the grid, with at least one collect symbol guaranteed per spin.

Six or more DD symbols can trigger the jackpot bonus game. In it, only jackpot symbols with values can land along with a collect symbol. The mechanics are simple – land a jackpot with a collector to win the prize. Temple Rush Dream Drop is quickly becoming one of my favorite DD slot games. I played the base game with $1 bets initially and hit a 12x win during my first 15 free spins. It’s all thanks to the collect symbols, which landed alongside some coins.

After around 40 spins, I paid for the nitro spins. It took 20 more spins to get to the bonus round. I chose the temple free spins with a progressive multiplier, which helped me win a total of 72x. It's not a bad haul for the investment. Unfortunately, I couldn’t trigger the jackpot bonus or hit any of the progressive jackpots.

Temple Rush Dream Drop has a baseline RTP of 94%, which goes up to 94.08% when you activate the nitro spins. The maximum win you can hit is 6,000x the bet.

I’m going to be honest – not all DD jackpot slots are my cup of tea. However, Temple Rush Dream Drop is quite an interesting addition to the series, thanks to the collection mechanic and the two different bonus rounds. The addition of the famous progressive jackpots was a big plus for me, even if I wasn’t lucky to hit them.
