The graphics and animations are outstanding, and so is the audio. Thanks to Red Tiger, you’ll feel like you’re on a Viking battlefield. Luckily, you’ll be collecting symbols instead of enemy heads.

While the slot features plenty of modifiers, its setup is clean and easy to read. It doesn’t have a difficult learning curve, especially when you try it for free. In true Red Tiger fashion, the controls are beneath the reels. This allows for easy access, so even beginners can play it effortlessly.

The Viking action begins when you place a bet. Choose between 20c to $20 per spin and hit Play to start. Instead of the usual 3 matching symbols for a win, you’ll need 8 in Viking’s Legacy Everyway. However, they don’t need to be on an active payline, which makes things easier. When the wild lands on reels 3 or 4, a heart and a number will display over it, indicating the life cycle. The wilds will stay locked on the reels for the duration of their lives. The maximum wild lives are 2, so it’s easy to read. Wilds disappear from the reels when they participate in a winning combination or when the lives run out.

The scatter can extend the wild’s lives. Each one adds a single life point. The wild plays further roles in the Viking features you can see above the reels. They are activated in a special order when a wild is part of a win and continue activating for the next chain reactions. It starts with an expanding wild, an x2 multiplier, an x3 multiplier, and low-symbol removals.

These features can be of great help as the chain reactions start. They are the core of the Everyway experience in this slot and can lead to some brilliant wins.

Four Yggdrasil scatters trigger 3 free spins. A trio of scatters in the bonus round adds 3 more. The low-value symbol removal feature is always active in the bonus round. Instead of the x2 and x3 multipliers, you get a global win multiplier, which starts at x1. It goes up by +1 on a winning spin, while losing spins award additional free spins.

If you don’t want to wait for the bonus trigger, you can buy your way into the free spins round for 100x the bet. You can also pay 40x for a pair of wilds at any point.

Viking’s Legacy Everyway was a pretty rewarding experience in my case. I can safely say that this is a slot where the base game can be much more rewarding than the bonus round. It’s all thanks to the Viking features that can lead to great wins. They are active during all stages and thanks to the fact they happen on chain reactions, you can keep them going on and on.

The double and triple multipliers worked great in my case. The low-value symbols didn’t produce that many wins, but they were a real blast in the bonus round. Free spins play out with premiums only, and that global win multiplier can be rewarding. Unfortunately, it wasn’t in my case, and the bonus round didn’t repay my Bonus Buy investment. Luckily, the base game was as rewarding as it gets.

Viking’s Legacy Everyway has an RTP of 95.74% and high volatility with a decent hit rate. The maximum win is a whopping 27,483x the bet.

I love it when studios come up with new ways to win, which is precisely what the Everyway mechanic does. In my honest opinion, it can be a long-term replacement for the Megaways engine, and paired with the modifiers in Viking’s Legacy Everyway, it works even better. The second Red Tiger Everyway outing is much better than the first one, headlined by the amazing modifiers and the incredible winning potential.
