Venetian Rewards Offers Tier Matching For First Time

The Venetian is offering a tier-matching promotion for its rewards program for the first time.

Tier-matching promotions usually allow rewards club members to skip the line to access new member perks. That’s not entirely the case with this one, however.

The new Venetian Rewards tier-matching promotion is keeping its best benefits only for members who earn their tier status by spending money at Venetian and Palazzo properties. . These benefits are not being offered to some players who may have achieved their status level at other Las Vegas casinos.

. Additionally, this promotion limits those matching to the least valuable benefits of the different tiers. While not the best, this kind of promotion is still a good way for guests to get a taste of what the new Venetian Rewards offers.

Venetian Only Matches with Select Las Vegas Casino Rewards Programs

Casinos sometimes limit which casinos they’ll match tiers with. For example, Fontainebleau offered a similar promotion that didn’t match the Circus Circus rewards program.

This made sense since the guests for the budget- and kid-friendly casino across the street wasn’t exactly the $50 minimum customers Fontainebleau was targeting.

Earlier this year I tier-matched my Hard Rock/Mirage Unity Rewards to an upper-tier Fontainebleau Rewards card before The Mirage closed. Perhaps a bit surprisingly, The Venetian would not match my Fontainebleau Rewards tier but would match the rewards program for Unity by Hard Rock.

Venetian Rewards will match with the following Las Vegas casino rewards programs and tiers.

  • MGM Rewards: Gold, Platinum, Noir
  • Caesars Rewards: Diamond and Seven Stars
  • Wynn Rewards: Platinum and Black
  • Genting Rewards (Resorts World Las Vegas): Monarch and Imperial
  • Boarding Pass (Station Casinos): Platinum, President, and Chairman
  • Unity by Hard Rock: Icon and X

The Venetian won’t match with any other casino rewards programs from Las Vegas or otherwise. Those left out include Circus Circus, Boyd Properties, Oyo, Sahara, Rampart, and sundry other casinos that don’t meet Venetian standards.

Venetian Rewards Tier Levels

Venetian Rewards now has five tier levels. The rewards program quietly added the Chairman level after debuting the Club Grazie replacement in January.

Here’s the list of Venetian Rewards tier levels currently, with the points required annually to maintain the status.

  • Jade: All
  • Sapphire: 3,000-19,999
  • Ruby: 20,000-49,999
  • Diamond: 50,000+
  • Chairman: Invite Only

New members should note that other Las Vegas casino rewards programs use some of these names for different tier levels and benefits. For example, Sapphire and Ruby are the entry levels for MGM Rewards and Boyd Rewards, respectively.

Venetian Rewards Tier Benefits

Like all casino reward programs, Venetian offers better benefits at each level. All members start at the Jade level and receive members-only room rates, personalized offers, and a 10% discount at Canyon Ranch Spa.

Regardless of budgets, all visitors should sign up for rewards programs to receive members-only room rates that are usually lower than what’s advertised. (A 5% discount just for being a Venetian Rewards member is better than nothing!)

The Venetian Rewards tier match doesn’t offer access to all the benefits listed below. Each tier status of Venetian Rewards is the same as the lower level, with some additions. Here’s a look at the key differences between the different levels.

According to the Venetian Rewards desk, matching tiers is welcome, but members bumped-up to the higher tier stati will not automatically receive the following high-roller perks:

  • Airfare reimbursement
  • Annual dining credit
  • Complimentary suite nights
  • Complimentary entourage/guest suite nights
  • Canyon Ranch spa credits
  • Complimentary airport transportation

While this isn’t perfect, those who tier-match will receive the majority of the perks available. The Venetian Rewards website doesn’t have the information above but here are the materials I received at the casino.
