Casinos With the Best Views in Canada

Canada is absolutely beautiful. It goes without saying that from the mountains of BC to the Great Lakes of Ontario and Quebec and the snowy vistas of Alberta, it’s widely regarded as one of the prettiest countries in the world. We're not biased at all.

So it makes sense that out of the almost 90 casinos in the country, at least a few of them will have panoramic views of some stunning scenes. With so many Canadian casinos having expanded out from just slots and table games to become destinations with luxury hotels, fine dining, and entertainment, you might need a little help choosing the one with the best view.

To get an accurate view (excuse the pun) of which casinos have the best scenery, we took a look at Tripadvisor reviews and searched for certain keywords like “amazing views," “best views,” and “breathtaking view.” We’re sure there are some other Canadian casinos with scenic views (let us know about any we’ve missed), but we chose a selection of the top ones to assess.

  • Casino Rama Resort
  • Casino de Charlevoix
  • Casino New Brunswick
  • Diamond Tooth Gerties Gambling Hall
  • Casino Regina
  • Club Regent Casino
  • Casino de Mont-Tremblant
  • Shorelines Casino Thousand Islands
  • Red Shores Racetrack & Casino
  • Grey Rock Casino
  • River Rock Casino Resort
  • Casino Nova Scotia
  • Living Sky Casino
  • Pure Casino Lethbridge
  • Great Blue Heron Casino & Hotel
  • Gateway Casinos Sault Ste. Marie

Casinos With the Best Views in Canada

Starlight Casino Point Edward scored 8.03% on our scale, coming in at number one, despite only getting 13 keyword mentions out of 162 reviews. Seven reviews here called out “best views," which sure sounds promising, and given that it’s set right on the lake, we expected no less.

According to one review, “We went because they offered a buffet featuring prime rib and had a beautiful view of the river and Detroit." Prime rib and a view? What more could you ask for?

Caesars Windsor Casino came in second on our list, 7.52%, with a huge 121 reviews mentioning one of our keywords. 18 reviews used the words “amazing views," while 51 said skyline views. The casino is right on the Detroit River, and it boasts fountains, luxurious dining options, and over 2,200 slot games.

“This stay at Caesars Windsor was very nice. We stayed in a renovated king room in the Forum Tower. The room had a beautiful view of the Detroit River and skyline” said one review.

Grey Rock Casino ranked third on our list, with 5.83%. Most of the keywords mentioned here were “best views," but there was even a mention of "breathtaking." Located near the US border in New Brunswick, this casino has a hotel, several restaurants, and regular entertainment. The range of slots isn’t too big, at around 270, but you should still find something you’re into.

“The Valley View Restaurant on the second floor offers a breathtaking view of the area and the food is outstanding.” We think the name “Valley View Restaurant” really speaks for itself here.

Top 5 Casinos With the Best Views in Canada

Unfortunately, not all Canadian casinos have excellent views, and we discovered a few that weren't as highly rated. In fact, a number of casinos tied for last place, with absolutely no mentions of any of our view-related keywords. These are the ones that score a big, fat zero:

  • Casino New Brunswick
  • Casino Regina
  • Club Regent Casino
  • Shorelines Casino Thousand Islands
  • Living Sky Casino
  • Pure Casino Lethbridge
  • Gateway Casinos Sault Ste. Marie
  • Cascades Casino
  • Casino Moose Jaw
  • Cascades Casino Kamloops
  • Playtime Casino Kelowna

We took a look at some of these casinos in a little more detail to see exactly why they didn’t rank very well on the Best Views Scale. Playtime Casino Kelowna is on a lake, so we would have expected pretty good views, but unfortunately the reviews didn’t seem to agree. As one person said, “I found this casino to be very boring," and I don’t know about you, but personally, I would never refer to great views as boring.

Cascades Casino in Kamloops was another one that got a zero rating, and if we think back to some of our other recent assessments, such as the luckiest casinos in Canada, this one did pretty badly too. If you were hoping that the bad luck could be countered by good views, you’re also out of luck here.

As one person said, “This place sucks. No organization and no fun as far as slot selection. Place likes to slurp. Booze and everything else is expensive." I Googled "what does likes to slurp mean?" against my better judgment, and I'm no closer to understanding this review.

The final casino we looked at on the bad side of the list was Casino Moose Jaw, and if we’re honest, we just did that because we liked the name. While one person said, “My friend and I enjoyed our evening there and even won a bit of money," another advised, “Run as fast as you can from this casino," so we’re not sure who to believe here.
