They will be getting involved with many tasks within the casino, gaining more hands-on experience and knowledge. Graduate Ben reflected on what he thought of the placement and what he had learned.

Ben said, "It has been great to learn loads about the industry, including procedures within the casinos alongside the work that goes on behind the scenes."

When asked what he had enjoyed most, Ben said, "Working in the cash desk department has been the most enjoyable part of the role so far. I have enjoyed working with the team there and understanding the tasks faced from open to close."

Ben shared what he was looking forward to, "I'm really looking forward to participating in the club swap next month, as it will allow me to see the industry from another perspective and understand the variations in how different-sized casinos operate."

The company stated: “At Genting, we’re not only committed to staying compliant with our mandatory training, but we’re also dedicated to enhancing knowledge and skills to support employees in the workplace.

"Following a recent employee forum session focused on neurodiversity, we have added additional training modules to our Genting Academy for those who are interested in learning more. We’re proud to continue to drive diversity, inclusivity and equity in our workplace.”

BetConstruct Offering Gaming Licences in Canada

BetConstruct now offers B2B and B2C gaming licenses in Canada through its affiliate entity, YoLicense. This partnership demonstrates their commitment to providing exceptional opportunities and upholding industry standards. It is not without controversy.

Investigative journalist Michael Schmitt wrote on LinkedIn: "BetConstruct has taken the iGaming world to new heights—or depths—by licensing itself through its affiliate, YoLicense. This mysterious entity, which lacks any visible legal framework, Terms of Service, or even a complaints page, is now handing out B2B and B2C licenses with the blessing of the Tobique First Nation.

“On the financial side, obtaining a Tobique gaming license comes at a price of €36,000, and you can add a Costa Rican gambling license for an additional $6,750 USD. It feels alarmingly easy for anyone to set up an online casino targeting players from jurisdictions where they don’t actually hold a license.”

Most of my career was spent in teaching including at one of the UK’s top private schools. I left London in 2000 and set up home in Wales raising four beautiful children. I enrolled at University where I studied Photography and film and gained a Degree and subsequently a Masters Degree. In 2014 I helped launch a new local newspaper and managed to get front and back page as well as 6 filler pages on a weekly basis. I saw that journalism was changing and was a pioneer of hyperlocal news in Wales. In 2017 I started one of the first 24/7 free independent news sites for Wales. Having taken that to a successful business model I was keen for a new challenge. Joining the company is exciting for me especially as it is a new role in Europe. I am keen to establish myself and help others to do the same.
