Renowned online casino games developer Playtech has launched a selection of live-dealer games into the Finnish market as part of an agreement with the nation’s state-owned iGaming operator, Veikkaus.
The first-of-its-kind arrangement has seen the domain at Veikkaus.fi premiere a bespoke live-dealer online casino games studio. It features Veikkaus-branded blackjack and roulette tables with Finnish-speaking dealers.
The deal has also involved the site’s debut of a range of networked innovations from Playtech, including Mega Fire Blaze Roulette, alongside game show titles like Spin a Win, The Greatest Cards Show, and Adventures Beyond Wonderland.
The commercial director for Playtech, which is listed in London, Fredrik Sylvander, revealed his company inked the live-dealer deal for Finland following the successful completion of a rigorous public tender and is now ‘excited to have started this new chapter’ in its long-running support of Veikkaus.
The experienced professional moreover stated he is ‘thrilled to have completed the launch’ as it marks ‘a significant milestone’ in the ‘successful partnership’ his firm has with the Scandinavian country’s sole licensed provider of online casino entertainment.
“We take pride in supporting Veikkaus in delivering a premium live gaming experience through our state-of-the-art studio and exclusive game offerings,” Sylvander said.
“Leveraging our expertise and market knowledge, we have crafted a tailored live offering that meets the needs of the Finnish market and provides an unparalleled gaming experience for Veikkaus’ customers.”
Sami Partanen serves as the Live Casino Portfolio Manager for Veikkaus, and he exclusively told Casinos.com that his enterprise’s launch of live-dealer online casino entertainment from Playtech builds upon a ‘successful existing relationship’ stretching back some 15 years.
He revealed the Isle of Man-headquartered developer had earlier supplied the operator with a plethora of online casino and poker games as well as video lottery terminals and its cutting-edge Neon casino management system.
“Customers value a wide selection in an online casino, and many choose their place to play based on that,” Partanen said. “Live dealer games were previously missing from the selection at Veikkaus.fi, but they are now an important part of the online casino's product portfolio.”
Moving forward, Partanen asserted Veikkaus is looking to roll out ‘a wider range of products’ via Veikkaus.fi in order to ‘serve customers' wishes better.’
He furthermore detailed that the live dealer studio was debuted ‘with Finnish customers in mind,’ and he is now hoping it ‘will achieve a significant share of the entire online casino's product groups.
“The Veikkaus-branded studio has three blackjack and roulette tables, while other games can be added at a later date,” Partanen said. “Offering a gaming service to our customers in Finnish differentiates Veikkaus from its competitors and is a significant addition to our portfolio.”
