Fortunately, I’m not one of those bottom-of-the-barrel reviewers who stoop so low. Instead, I shall present the game with the respect the Holy Easter Bunny deserves. 

This review will include the gameplay performance, software, in-play features, and bonuses. This review also comes with the free-to-play demo, accessible through any iOS device and Android smartphone. 

Everything about Easter Eggspedition by Play’n GO looks like a hundred other slots on the market. The game’s design places the slot in the middle of some Austrian-looking street. Hints of this come from the accordion-sounding backing music. The slot is set on a stall and comes with the classic 3-rows and 5-reels. With this layout, the game provides 20 paylines from which to potentially win. 

When it comes to the look of the game, Easter Eggspedition offers nothing new except for the fact it celebrates Easter. However, that said, I never underestimated Play’n GO, which, for me, is one of the top five gaming developers in the business.

Once you have loaded the game from your preferred online casino, you must first set the betting value. On the control panel, you will see the values listed, which can be increased or decreased. The cost of play starts at $0.10 a spin, and the max bet climbs up to a value of $100 per spin. 

Choose the amount that best suits your budget, and to begin play, select the green spin button to turn the reels. Alternatively, the yellow button next to this allows you to play with autospins. 

Wins are made by landing three or more matching symbols on any of the 20 paylines. These symbols must align from left to right. The lower-values symbols are made up of the classic A, K, Q, J, and ten symbols.

In the Easter Eggspedition, there are special Bonus symbols. These are the giant Easter eggs, and when you land three or more of these, you will activate the main bonus game. The Super Bunny awards also add cash value to the CashPot; however, if you land the Fox, the Cash Pot will lose all value. Should both the Bunny and the Fox land on the reels, this is when the Cash Pot is paid out.

Easter Eggspedition is the first Easter-themed game I have played. It’s not exactly a theme that appeals to my manly tastes; in fact, as I get older, I find chocolate loses its appeal. That all said, this is a game by Play’n GO, so I hope that despite the generic design of the game, it plays to a higher expectation than what I have.

I loaded Easter Eggspedition in my favorite online casino, and for this, I played 50 auto spins at a wager of $1.50 per play. Now, I firmly believe you can tell the quality of a slot game after ten spins. I gave this 20 to evaluate that Easter Eggspedition is not as fun as I’d hoped. Seriously, this is the worst Play’n GO slot I have played. 

After 50 spins, the results are just as convincing as the idea that the Tooth Fairy or Santa exists.

The maximum payout possible is $1,000,000, which would then require you to spin the slot reels at a cost of $100 per go. The RTP that comes with Easter Eggspedition is calculated at 96.29%. The volatility is apparently programmed to a medium setting, which is my preferred setting, but it certainly didn’t feel this way when playing. 

Would I recommend playing this game? I would rather you read the Bible and endure less suffering than play this game. Perhaps seasonal games like this are more gimmicks than games. This is a shame because there is a real opportunity to make something of worth and something that can have longevity and appeal beyond the festive period. This game was played far too safely, and frankly, it showed as soon as I saw the design.
